The Orofino area is beautiful and the Inn is far more comfortable, affordable and available than local hotels. The rooms are nicely appointed but somehow it still feels like you're staying with family. Jo is a wonderful Innkeeper and is knowledgeable about the area. I recommend it to travelers and locals who need a getaway.

Ms Jo Moore , Proprietor, is simply an outstanding lady and Host. She makes you feel absolutely welcomed and just like being at home. Breakfast was served per preference and always delicious, if you were up early , you made your own coffee, and the evening there was always milk and homemade cookies

We recently stayed three nights at the High County Inn. Jo hands down made our experience perfect. She is the most generous and thoughtful woman. I highly recommend this location for vacation, family get away or fishing trip.

We spent a relaxing partial weekend at the inn and enjoyed Jo's wonderful meals and generous hospitality. The cabins are immaculate, cozy and well-stocked. Would highly recommend for couples or families looking to get away and enjoy quality time together.

We stayed one night in the Fish Room and had a salmon dinner prepared by Jo for us and another couple as well as breakfast. She is a marvelous cook and a very experienced and friendly hostess. She said the B and B is her hobby and she clearly enjoys it. We left our camera charger and she mailed it... More

We had such a lovely time at Jo's place. The house is great, the food Jo cooks is great, the whirlpool is great but the best of it all is meeting Jo! We stayed at Jo's for two nights. We went for a really nice walk by the lake where we took a swim as well. Jo recommended us a... More

From 2001-2012 Jo Moore provided over a thousand of my heritage tour guests from across the U.S. with great food and personal charm. You can count on The High Country Inn for high quality service and absolute dependability. Linwood Laughy of Clearwater Connections, Inc. in north central Idaho’s Clearwater Valley

We enjoyed a memorable stay at High Country Inn on two occasions-- once in late Spring and again in the Fall of the following year. I enjoyed nature walks around the property which is located on a beautiful hillside, while my husband fished the Clearwater river which runs close to the property. My family and I went up to Orofino to visit and we stayed at the High Country Inn for one week. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The owner of the Inn did everything in her power to make our stay more enjoyable. The price was reasonable and affordable. I would go back and stay in a heartbeat.
