The Partridge Inn is an escape from the ordinary, offering a seamless blend of style, sophistication, and Southern hospitality. Fittingly perched on a hill, the Partridge Inn is overflowing with character, charm, and history. But our iconic hotel is more than echoes of the past and turn-of-the-century architecture – it's also the fervent heartbeat of a vibrant community that has stood the test of time. Originally constructed as a private home in the 1890s and later opened as a hotel, the 112-year-old property is steeped in tradition, with the city's past mingling with its bright present. Throughout the years, the hotel has served as a gathering place for celebrities, professional athletes, dignitaries, and government officials alike. Its grand ballrooms have not only entertained the likes of President Warren G. Harding but have also hosted generations of weddings, family gatherings, and community celebrations. Today, the Partridge Inn stands tall, with more distinction, class, and grandeur than it ever has before. Previous guests will see plenty of familiar faces, delivering the same world-class service we're known for, but with the unmistakable energy that comes from the inn's new beginning. From the reimagined restaurant, 8595, and 6 South Rooftop Bar, to the well-appointed accommodations and amenities, the Partridge Inn invites you to add your own chapter to our legendary adventure. Book one of more than 143 unique rooms and suites and make your next getaway historic.

No upper manager to resolve issues with the room, during or after my stay. Recent room upgrades very poor for business travelers. I was not happy with Roko for cable in room. Need an iron not a steamer. Have stayed there before for many years. Never again

So happy we found this place what a great experience. The bed were hands down one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever stayed in if not THE most comfortable. Super clean and loved the historic vibe.

First and foremost the staff is wonderful. Our dinner in their restaurant was superb. The “old” hotel ambiance was charming. But inside, many things did not work. The outlets didn’t hold our plugs-they kept falling out. The air conditioner kicked on and off sounding like a diesel truck. There was only one comfortable chair, and one place to unpack one suitcase. Worst of all, our key card to get into our room didn’t work which necessitated going downstairs to get a new one EIGHT times in our two night stay. To end on a good note, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The pool was clean and welcoming, but didn’t open until ten o’clock in the morning, when I enjoy swimming laps early in the day. I would NOT stay here again!

Let me start by saying we love staying at historic places and this is definitely one. We purposely choose them to stay at as we travel, but even with it recent "update" I cannot in good faith recommend a night here. And it hurts me to say it because the place has so much potential. We stayed one night and it started out poorly at check in when they kept telling us our card to hold the room was declined (it was not, it was a completely different persons account) and then got worse when we went to our room. We booked a King with a pull out since our preteen child was with us. When we got to the room, there was no way in the world you could pull out the bed from the sofa (see picture) since the wall was too close. The front desk acted surprised by this and believed us when we showed them a picture and moved us to a different room. When we got to the new room we found throughout our stay an air conditioner that was so loud you couldn't hear each other talk, painters tape on the windows, two screws left on the floor to step on, peeling paint everywhere, one remote that didn't work for two TVs and a shower that wouldn't drain. We tried to use the pool but there were never towels (just a pile of dirty ones there at least over night) and overflowing trash cans-so we decided to pass. The final thing that made us extremely uncomfortable was dinner at the hotel. We had reservations on the rooftop that were apparently made in error (it was not planned to be open for a while yet so they cancelled them before our trip), so we ate indoors instead. The food was great and the server was very good and then the bill came. That was when we noticed we were overcharged $25 more than what was on the menu. $13 for one meal, $10 more for another and $2 on the last one. No mention of the price changes at all. The server did take it back and fix it, but it left us feeling uncomfortable as it whether it was just a mistake or not. Looking back, I had seen someone at another table have their bill fixed and didn't think much of it at the time. If this was a known issue, I hope that everyone else going forward that night had it automatically fixed. The staff that was there was trying, but there is only so much they can do. We went down to the front desk twice, but they were so overwhelmed it became pointless. The poor hotel manager was basically acting as maintenance when we were there and that clearly was not suppose to be her job. A lot of work is needed before I could recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Asked for Feather Free room due to down allergies, but they didn't have enough foam pillows. No AC in our room on a 103° day. Room was dirty with food on the floor and the couch. When we switched rooms due no no AC, the toilet was leaking which left the bathroom floor continuously flooded. Some of the staff was very friendly and helpful, while other staff was quite rude.

This is a beautiful, historical property. This property's staff is exceptionally professional, and responsive. The rooms are massive, very clean with comfortable amenities. I specifically liked the careful balance of modern upgrades and respect for the past architectural aspects of the building. Staffing shortages at the restaurant for breakfast on Saturday put a damper on my plans but the personnel who were there, worked as hard as they could to provide a great customer experience.

Okay, I LOVE the people there, they are incredible. not a fan of the rooms. As a diamond member I was expecting to be put in one of the renovated rooms. That didn't happen. I called 4 days in advance and the day prior to my arrival. Stating I just needed a room without a tub for it to be accessible to me. Instead I was put in one of the old rooms, with a VERY high bed, and 'roll in shower' that had no bench, there were no handle bars by the toilet, and no handle bars in that said shower. I had my service dog with me, and everyone was great to him. I am glad they 'helped me', under the ADA if you renovate you cannot put a disabled person in a room that is not up to code upon renovation. Everyone there that helped me shook their head at the room they put me in, but everyone there was helpful. So it is a conundrum. I love this place so much. But, if I went to a college that all the building were built between 1832 - 1860 and they are handicap accessible, why can't this one be? I want to come back during our winter break, and hope to be accommodated appropriately, for both having some mobility issues and having an SD. I left a message with corporate my first night their about not being able to use the shower without a seat, without a bar, without a detachable shower head, and no one called me back. I am so sad because I love this location, just when I asked to move, I was told no.

We were staying for one night en route to our final destination and it was the perfect night stay. Very picturesque hotel and friendly staff. Beds were very comfy! It was a short drive to the historic downtown and some nice restaurants and a walk on the Riverwalk.

So I’ve learned that when a description says historic that means beautiful but not necessarily comfortable. The floor in our room was totally uneven-I felt like I was walking downhill or in one of those funhouse rooms where you can’t quite get your balance. The shower was smaller than RV showers I’ve been in, so this room would definitely not work for larger people. The hotel was beautiful though and a wise friend told me “historic hotels are for visiting and having lunch or a drink, not for staying in!”
