Location is very convenient. Stayed in room 225. Carpet is filthy, tub drain is broken, scent of air freshener is very strong, and light leaks under door and around the curtains. All signs of a facility in dire need of renovation. In this condition, the hotel isn't a good value compared to similar classes and brands with newer facilities. I... More

Usually, Marriotts are located in what appears to be a safe area, and I am not saying the area is unsafe. But the area does appear to be questionable with some nearby homes which appeared to invite indigents. The staff was first class and quite helpful. Again, the property appeared to be a bit dated, but otherwise was in good... More

Hotel is very outdated and needs to be remodeled like other Courtyards. My room Smelled moldy and the ceiling had wet stains. Furniture is very old and falling apart. Staff was good though , but I probably won't stay there again.

Stayed here while visiting a UGA student. It is downtown but not really in the center of town. Decor is dated...probably 20 years since any renovations. Halls have a slight musty smell but room was fine. Had a pool which one of my kids took advantage of. No complimentary breakfast.

Beds where comfy, room was clean, bathroom was also clean, pool was fun for everybody, but that's really it. Still a nice place to stay, but the main reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that there was no breakfast buffet. I am a breakfast buffet person, and they didn't have a buffet.

This hotel isn't bad for a quick stay in Athens. The inside is average with a chair and a king size bed. The bathroom has a fiberglass shower/tub unit. Breakfast is not included. On the plus side, you can walk to town in about 10 minutes, which we did to see a play at the Morton theater. The pool is... More

The area appears not to be the safest area, but had absolutely no problems. It is an older hotel but kept up well, comfortable and a very friendly staff. Ordered a hamburger on site and it was very good quality and delicious flavor.

As others have noted... getting there is a bit tricky, if not downright dangerous (depending on which direction you are coming from)... we followed what Google Maps said to do and though it takes you through a residential section, you understand why once you arrive - exiting is equally as tricky. Location is OK for campus access, depending which part... More

I stayed here one night. No significant criticism except for the dangerous entrance to the main road. There is a sign in the middle of the entrance road that says no left turn. When I drove in the sign had been knocked over by a car. I hit the sign and it cut my tire. One tow truck and &180.00... More

Area seemed questionable. poor parking situation to Room. It was like an old motel they took over & renovated... slightly. Still wasn't too bad... More
