I just had the pleasure, extreme pleasure, of staying for 12 days with Larry and Linda at Tranquility Bay. The first night we had an amazing meal of fresh fish that Larry bought locally. Each meal we had was great. If you want to get away to a place that is quiet, friendly, peaceful with white sand, amazing sunny days, and beautiful seas... this is it. We had an amazing sunset every night. At the end of the trip, Larry flew us to Roatan on his twin engine plane for an easy connection to United Airlines. They have the perfect name and live up to it...Tranquility Bay! Thank you Larry and Linda... hope to see you again soon!
Larry and Linda were amazing to work with. They worked so well with our group and were willing to adjust to our ever-changing schedule. There was never a time that they were not willing to help us out, whether it was providing a shovel to bury ourselves in the sand, or medical advice to make sure everyone was safe. Truly felt as though we were guests in their home, rather than staying at a business.
Super recomendado!!!! ---------------------‐------------------------ Beautiful place with many adventures available. It's the perfect mix between a quiet place and an adventure area. One day you can get up and enjoy a spectacular sunrise and the next you get up for an experience on a boat. recommended !!!!
Very nice. A great vacation on a budget. Food is available and is wonderful, just be prepared it is a very small resort and choices are limited but amazing! Staff is amazing. Spent a month with Linda and Larry and had the most wonderful time.
Very nice facility with five separate “cabanas” that are like individual houses. There was one queen size and two twin size beds, kitchen area sink, refrigerator, bottled water dispenser, shower, bathroom sink, and attached commode room with door inside. The cabana was air conditioned with a wall unit that may have also been a heater, but not used during my five day stay there. A hammock on the covered porch was especially appreciated. The owners, Linda and Larry Forseth, live in a home on-site and have been there for about eleven years. They have made many upgrades during their ownership, including a new generator that Larry started while writer was staying there. Their knowledge of area, helpfulness and desire to be great hosts was apparent and appreciated daily during the visit. The four rescue animals (three monkeys and one animal which appeared similar to an anteater with a movable nose), one parrot, and three dogs were all enjoyed during the stay. Sofie, a baby howler monkey rescued after her mother was shot by mountain villagers, was especially enjoyed with her antics while riding on Linda and Larry’s shoulders. Navajo and Cherokee, male and female German Shepherds, were very friendly and good watchdogs. Elena, Lucia, Eric and Bedicia (phonetic) were all helpful and cooked many delicious meals for writer, and a luncheon for nineteen visiting Finca missionaries and family members.…
