Terramaya is a place which confirms ones belief in the essential goodness of people. Behind a simple street door lies a small hotel which is friendly and immaculately maintained. Breakfasts are wonderful- and eaten on the terrace overlooking the gently sloping garden. Staff are all excellent - notably Marianna who provided advice about the next day's activities in and around...

We were absolutely delighted and frankly amazed to discover such an extraordinary place in Copain. This B&B has it all: luxurious spacious rooms, wonderful view of surrounding mountains, delicious breakfast overlookig lovely garden, friendly and professional staff and best of all a welcoming and caring host and hostess, the owners Howard and Angela. Our five day stay here was really...

A friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Terramaya for a night last week. The place is immaculate. We were positive it was brand new from the crisp cleanness of everything, and we were surprised to find out it had actually been there for several years. The service was exceptional. Owner Howard and his kind receptionist helped us...

This was our second stay at Terramaya. The welcome is warm from the moment you enter and the attention of the staff to the guests is second to none. I love the simplistic charm of the hotel and the rooms. The food is locally sourced or made in house and the tranquil environment of the gardens or back porch is...

Unbelievable experience at this boutique hotel. Delicious breakfasts, overlooking a beautifully manicured garden, with gorgeous vistas of Honduran hills in background. Everything about this hotel is top flight--especially the dedicated staff who treat you like family and cater to your every need with a hospitable spirit. A short walk to the local plaza and ruins, make this jewel accessible to...

We spent three nights at Terramaya. The owners and staff of Terramaya went far above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. Our visit started with delicious cold fruit and chilled towels upon arrival. They gave us maps directing us to wherever we wanted to go. They checked on vegan-friendly restaurants for us, and always greeted us after our...

This is a beautifully maintained boutique hotel that has the absolutely BEST staff I have ever, in ALL of my travels, encountered. You are always, and I mean, ALWAYS, greeted with a smile, offered something to drink, given a cold towel and made to feel as though you are welcomed home. The hotel is meticulously clean and breakfast is absolutely...

My friend and I spent 2 nights in this beautifully designed and appointed small hotel while visiting the Mayan ruins nearby (actually walkable from hotel). Our room had a breathtaking, birdseye view of the surrounding area. Food, service and amenities (including hammock on the very ample upper level patio) all top-notch.

I just returned from a 6 night visit at Terramaya. It is the perfect small, intimate hotel and you get treated like royalty. The staff members greet you with big smiles as you return and immediately offer cold towels, drinks in the reception. My husband caught a 24 hr bug in the middle of our trip and the staff helped...

We had good things about Terramaya and were not at all disappointed with our experience of staying there two nights. Co-owner Angela is a sweetheart who seemed to have endless time to spent chatting with us each morning during breakfast. Tastefully appointed, gracious and generous hospitality by all staff members. Only downside is the proximity to traffic noise even in...
