I can’t believe how much money I paid for a very basic room. Feel pretty ripped off. It seems to be a house that has recently gone from long term to short term stays, but still treats you like you’re renting an apartment. Which is fine, but you can’t charge hotel prices and then treat your guests like an apartment renter. Most offensive thing to happen was that there was no water for about 12 hours. When I finally needed a shower, I rang the manager’s bell, knocked on the door... no answer. Finally found the phone number online and called. (He was in the next room from me). He explained that a pipe had burst so he’d shut off the water and was waiting for the repair man. That’s fine, but why was this not communicated to me? He then begrudgingly turned the water back on for 5 minutes so I could shower. If this place wants to be a high end hotel, they need to treat their guests accordingly. The room was clean, and well equipped. But as it was facing the street, it was quite loud with street noise on the weekend. Weekdays were ok. On Utila you really seem to get price gauged for short stays. Weekly and monthly rentals are cheap. I’m now in a $600/ month apartment that is much nicer. This room was $85 per night. Incredible. Although I do think the price discrepancy is an island-wide phenomenon. Something you don’t know until you arrive.

A very comfortable cottage on the water. We stayed in the beach house which is on a pier that you can swim from, from very shallow at the door to fairly deep at the end of the pier. The manager can get a guided tour of the keys and the whole Island at a very reasonable price on a boat that is moored at the pier. The 3 rooms are air conditioned. That is two bedrooms and a livingroom with attached kitchen.

Stayed here for 2 nights. It was okay but nothing special. It did have hot water which some places don’t here. Pictures on the web make it look like you stay in the place right by the dock. That’s called the boathouse so careful when booking. We were in the building behind the boathouse. We did have small bugs in the bathroom but a little insect spray got rid or them. Place is for sale and getting a bit run down, like the dock for example. The manager was really nice and helpful.

For about 8 nights we stayed here. As a family of 4 (2 kids) we really enjoyed it. It’s walking distance from good diving schools, bakery, groceries and a few dining places. Close enough to @Bando’s Beach, but a bit farther away from Chepe’s Beach. Walking around is part of being in Utila, so don’t worry about this. House is fully equipped, always kept clean, and property is safe. Best of all, has it’s own deck and dock (dock is shared with others guests), and still have your privacy. If you wish, you could wake up and do an early morning swim and then have your coffee 😜. Or, later in the day at the very end of the dock, you have a prime location to enjoy Utila’s beautiful sunsets with a drink or wine. To wrap up, 30 minutes after arriving and quickly finding our swimsuits, we jumped in the water with my son and began enjoying our stay.

We had a 2 bed 2 bath cottage. Nice and clean comfortable awesome views right on the water close to our dive shop. The young lady that takes care of you is wonderful you could not ask for better service or reception she was great. The unit was great we had a fridge stove and fresh water. The showers were nice and hot with good pressure there were 2 patios with nice comfortable furniture. I will definitely go back there
