I stayed three nights with my girlfriend in this nice hostel. We had a double room with private bathroom. The room was hugh, having a sleeping room, a living room with couch and TV, and the bathroom. Everything was clean, including the kitchen of the hostel. Location is good, close to the central plaza in Xela, lot of restaurants, a...

My Fiance and I booked this place without really knowing what to expect. It was one of the cheapest options in Xela with good reviews. I would describe this place as a "mansion" style house with open courtyards, nice private rooms, and a multi-shower, multi-stall shared bathroom. Showers were always hot, which was good since the open-courtyard style of the...

Casa Renaissance is a great place to stay! The room was huge, very clean and nice, the inner patio is the perfect place where to have breakfast or dinner. Marika is a lovely girl, always available to give advises or help arranging tours or transfers. The place is very close to the main square and just around the corner there...

We really liked our stay at Casa Renaissance. It is a different place to stay as its an older property split into rooms based around two small courtyards. We particularly liked the huge comfy corner sofa in our room - perfect to chill out on. I imagine it would be a good base for a longer time in the city...

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in Xela at Casa Renaissance. Marika is very nice and helpful. She has great advice on what to do and how to get around. She is also very accommodating as our plans suddenly changed unexpectedly and we were able to keep our room longer than we booked for. The house is very clean and...

Casa Renaissance is a very nice place to stay for one or two nights. Our room was simple but huge! Perfect location - close to shops, restaurants, attractions and transport. Casa Renaissance offers some excursions (we had not known about it prior to coming to Q and got in touch with a different tour operator). There is some nice common...

Marieke, the dutch woman who owns this nice hostel, was a great host and helped us arrange activities and shuttles. She also recommended restaurants and practical stuff like laundry places and where to buy unsweetened yoghurt for breakfast. Thanks a lot! Nice location in the city center, clean kitchen and bathrooms. Spacious rooms and a nice patio with a hammock!...

Very nice, quiet and affordable accomodation in the centre of Xela. Nice patio where you could relax. Well equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea. Fast wifi (when compared to other places in Guatemala). The hostess gives information about the city and can help you book tours and shuttles. Quetzaltenango is an interesting city with both genuine Guatemalan flavour and...

Marieke is quick to respond to queries and messages. Casa Renaissance located close to shops, restaurants, petrol station and around 3 mins walk to the central square & the market. The bedroom is lovely, spacious and clean. The WiFi is fast & excellent. The bathroom is large, clean and the hot water is the best we've had in Guatemala. The...
