Staff is friendly and location is just perfect. Just a 5 minute walk to the Zocalo, Restaurants & Coffee Shops around the corner. Really quiet and safe at night. But you get what you pay for. Showers are more or less outside, so it can get freezing cold, but water is more or less hot. Same goes for the Rooms,...

Pros: - Came during a slower time so it was nice & quiet for the most part (no barking dogs, no loud cars during the night, etc) - the shower in the middle bathroom was nice & hot if you got it at the right water pressure (not too low so the heater stopped working but not too high so...

This is my second stay at Hostel Don Diego, and I chose it for the location and accessibility for someone with a lot a luggage (downstairs room). It is a short distance from Parque Central and the local city bus service. The hostel is a bit outdated (it is an old hostel) but the prices of the rooms are very...

This hostal feels more like a homestay than a hostal. Aurora and her family live on site. The four boys are extremely friendly and helpful. The whole family can speak English, even the 2-year old cutie pie. There is a well-equipped kitchen. The living room has a TV. The place is spotless. Promptly at 11 pm every night, all the...

I stayed four nights in this hostel, and it is quite a good place to stay : close to the main square, and close to everything, really quiet, a kitchen to cook, a lot of splace, a big book exchange, and most of all, the laday is really kind and helpful for everything. Perhaps a little bit cold during the...

I stayed a couple days at Hostal don Diego and yes, the rooms downstairs are a little bit dark but you just sleep in there, so what? The rooms are simple but clean so are the bathrooms and the kitchen is well equiped. The hostel is just a few minutes away from the historic center, shops, restaurants. The best about...

The hostel itself is nothing special. Rooms are generaly dark and small. People have to leave the door open to the corridor to have some air and feel of openess. There are shared bathrooms in an inner-yard with so-so privacy, but clean with hot water. Big difference are rooms upstairs with a small window (yeah!) - same price as those...

I wrote a review about two years ago, when the hostel was part of the Adrenalina Tours empire. As of May 1, they are under new ownership. Coincidentally, I stayed there that night without realizing it at first. The new owners are friendly and eager to serve guests. The following day, I moved next door to a monthly room at...

The location is close to Centro Historico, with ample restaurants and shops. The rooms are basic with shared toilets and showers. There is a communal kitchen, and WiFi signal is strong in rooms. The staff can help with tour and travel arrangements.
