The hotel is well located with a direct access to the lake. From our room, we had a beautiful view on the lake and the volcano. The staff was nice and the diner was good too. The hotel is surounded by a magnificent private garden.

"Simply Breathtaking" that summarizes the view from the room I stayed in. The view overlooking the pool, gardens, Lake Atitlan and the volcanos was breathtaking. The gardens surrounding the hotel are gorgeous. There were species of flowers that I had never seen before. The flowers...More

While we did not do any hiking while at the hotel, there is a park very close to the hotel that apparently does have hiking trails. If you ask the front desk they will tell you how to get there.

I am not sure if a fee is required. The poolside has a restaurant and when I was there over Easter, lots of people were coming in just for an afternoon drink or bite. I would email the Hotel and ask them.
