Breathtaking views to Lake Atitlan to moiuntains and to volcanoes. GArden of Eden with many flowers, roses etc. Excellent pool and hottub. Very friendly personnel. We had a suite which was spacious. The restaurant is excellent and good food. The rooms are NOT 5 star level. In my opinion the rooms have 3 star rating. But the pool and garden... More

Was invited to an upscale wedding reception by some friends I met in Panajachel. So I show up maybe not dressed in formal wear since I came to Guatemala on vacation not expecting to go to an elite upper class wedding of the who's who from Guatemala. Anyways I showed up early to find my friends but they had not... More

Pretty good food, fantastic setting on the lake looking right at the volcano. Good service, nothing disappointing about visiting this property. Also a little gem of a retail store off the lobby, some unique items not found on the crazy streets on Pana.

Lovely garden settings and lake view. Research the lake before you decide to step into the water. Appears that there are high pollution levels and it's a dying lake. The food was only ok and the servers were trying their best. Front desk help was not so good so be prepared. There were also tours through the place which made... More

The place to go for lunch or dinner on Lake Atitlan! The setting and view is amazing. The menu and service is wonderful. From fajitas to coconut shrimp, and if possible save room for key lime pie. Our table was on the outdoor patio and pure bliss.

We visited the hotel with my wife weeks after we got married. We were accompanied by my in-laws, who were very demanding, especially for a realtively expensive hotel for Guatemala. The gardens were beautiful and relaxing, and the pool had a great view on the lake and surrounding volcanoes/mountains. We had a great time and one great friend will get... More

We visited hotel Atitlan for a wedding. The place was amazing, we met the manager, Mr. Recinos and he was an amazing host. The hotel is really close to Panajachel, definitively worth the visit. Comfy rooms, great view, amazing staff!

We traveled on Lake Atitlan visiting various towns and villages. Panajachel was the last town to visit so we decided to have lunch at Hotel Atitlan, having 3 hours to spare. It is worth a short tuk-tuk ride to the hotel. Set within elaborate garden complex, the restaurant overlooks the Lake, the pool and manicured flower beds. It felt really... More

The views from the gardens are second to none, stunning. Service ok, food ok. Rooms oldstyle cool, on the small side. NO ROOM SERVICE, which is ridiculous when you consider the price. Manager and staff with lots and lots of dumb rules. Not practical if you want to be going into Panajachel.
