Having lived in Guatemala for many years, this was one of the places I'd stayed on a visit to Panajachel. It was a long time ago, and I wanted to revisit it; so this summer we did. What a lovely environment! The location is great, just inside the entrance to town, and the setting could not be lovelier, with all... More

The location is fine: close to the dock for most lanchas and a 5-10 minute walk up to the main road. We found it fairly noisy from traffic, though. The room was disappointing, to be honest. The good points were: it was spacious, the bed was big and comfortable enough, there was a TV, and the bathroom was big. However,... More

The hotel is very nice and situated one block from the lake. The flowers and plants are beautifully displayed around this hotel. The pool is lovely and shaded table umbrella's with outlets provided a nice place to work while kids were swimming. There are bikes available too. The food was good and bar service was available at most times both... More

Room was clean and comfortable. Pool and gardens are lovely. Both food and service in the restaurant were exceptional. Only area of improvement is wifi/internet access which seems to only work in the pool area and doesn't seem to accommodate demand of guests during peak times. Of course, that just provides another reason to truly unplug during your stay.

Visited in late May. Very nice garden and pool area. Quiet. Room was large and clean. Walking distance to pier for boats to other villages on the lake. Ten minutes walk to main shopping street. Friendly staff and very helpful English speaking manager. Breakfast is included in the pleasant restaurant. Rotary meets here. Very good value

Casique Inn is gorgeous, with a lovely pool and super friendly, helpful staff. However, there are two things that stop me from giving it a five star rating and the biggest issue of these is the fact that the WiFi is absolutely awful. First, the WiFi doesn't reach into the rooms, though the walls are adorned with WiFi signs. If... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, I could have stayed here for longer than we did! The location is great and close to everything. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. Yes, the internet is spotty....but manageable. Each table outside offers electrical outlets for charging. It did take me a minute to figure out how to open the window in our... More

Hotel rooms are very worn and tired. Desperately need updating. Bathrooms are pretty basic and towels are virtually threadbare. Found our bed to be very hard although we stayed with other people who didn't find theirs hard. Not a stitch of charm in these rooms. Breakfast was pretty good but coffee, for Guatemala, was weak. Would be nice to be... More

I spent a few days at Hotel Cacique Inn and could not have been happier. For starters, the hotel's location is terrific -- a short walk to both Santander and the pier, making it instantly accessible to wherever you'd like to go. The hotel itself is lovely. The pool is gorgeous (and cold!) and the pool area is a lovely... More

Cacique Inn is my favorite in Panajachel. The gardens are gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and cozy and have fireplaces. The rooms smell so good. I always enjoy the food, and their pancakes deserve a standing ovation. It does not have a view to the lake but the general environment in the hotel compensates very well. Cacique Inn is an... More
