I had an amazing stay here. The room was beautiful, very simple, but it had enough things. The food at the cafeteria was good. There weren't that many options to eat, but what they had was good. It was great to have access to the reserve.

I'm in Guatemala for business and just happened to have one free day. I used Atitrans to shuttle me here. I spent the night there in an AWESOME room - very clean with an amazing view and terrace. Not to mention it has hot water, which is hard to come by in Guatemala. I spent the next day just hiking... More

Excelent place, activities and service. The "Cables Xtremos" are the best, and they have a route of 8 cables (jumps) that can be done with Kids from 5 years old; you can even pay a little more and made your own bonfire in the campsite, great place for a family trip and be in contact with nature...

Not what we expected, as its not a hotel, but some cabins in the reserve. The cabins themselves are of a good standard, comfortable, spacious and with seating outdoors. The upper storey is bright and airy, but the lower cabins looked as if they might be a bit dark, as the vegetation is well grown in the surrounding area. Good... More

Thanks for taking the time to comment on our facilities and services. We are in the process of upgrading our rooms and your opinions reflect so. We will look into the lower units and the excess vegetation that you mention. As for the cafe, we are also improving both menu and service. Your perception that service is focused on groups... More

A tuk tuk , a three wheeled form of public transportation, picked me up from the dock and took me to the Reserva Natural. The sight of the Exotic fauna and earthy appeal of the place won me over. After I signed the registration, a strong paper bracelet was placed around my wrist, so that I stood out from those... More

There is quite a few spots where you can stay in town but from my and my co-travelers point of view this place which is only a 3 minute Tuk-Tuk ride away from the centre of town is worth at least one night. We slept here as a group of 3. One double bed, one single. The room is spacious... More

I have been coming to the Nature Reserve since I was a little girl 15+ years ago, and will continue to come here as much as I can. The place not only has some of the most amazing forest sceneries in Guatemala, but beautiful views of the lakes from the zip lines, and the king trails and hanging bridges. For... More

We stayed for two nights-Saturday and Sunday. We arrived after the kitchen had closed but the staff were kind enough to make us a meal. The room was absolutely beautiful, made out of bamboo. The showers have hot water and they offer coffee that is grown in the reserve. No TV, no wifi in the room and no view of... More

We stayed two nights at Reserva Atitlan, enjoying the soothing music of nature surrounding our room. Or I'd say suite ? huge room, with humongous beds and a double bathroom. highly appreciated. Personnel is attentive and helpful, but the big attraction is the butterfly sanctuary, zip line rides and walks in the jungle all for you. Highly recommended stay located... More

We stayed for one night in the two level room. The main floor is this amazing washroom with bamboo sink faucets, two hot water showers, and a toilet. The washroom is built around this gigantic rock. It was so cool. Upstairs was a king size bed, a single bed, a table, lots of closet space, and a beautiful deck looking... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The giant caldera that made Lake Atitlan and it's three volcanoes frame the experience of nature on the nature trails, the hanging bridges or perched on the highest zip line. The two courses of zip lines fly of waterfalls, a coffee grove, the oak stands and the steep cliffs that guard the lake. In the Butterfly Geodome you can enjoy the colors and forms of hundreds of butterflies surrounded by flowers and the sounds of water. Surrounded by humming birds and the murmur of the river, you can take a break and have lunch, coffee or a drink and then continue to explore the diversity and beauty of this natural wonder. At night, the crickets, owls and the sounds of the night will be your company in our lodgings. ... more   less
