I really enjoy staying at the WCR. The service is phenomenal. From the app chat to the airport shuttle to the arrival to the restaurant to the executive lounge, the people are excellent. This is now my 4th time at this property and many of the people now know me by name which is special. The property is a bit old but I’m excited to see the modernization that is going on now. I’m looking forward to coming back! Thank you for treating your elites and repeat customers so well

Having stayed at the WCR multiple times in the past, I have stayed there twice in 2019, for a total of seven nights, wondering what the Marriott's acquisition of the property would do to this wonderful hotel. No worries: it's the same hotel but with improvements including super-fast WiFi; free breakfast; and an updated gym (that was great even before). I checked into a room late one night that hadn't been serviced in a few days: staff was on top of it the next morning, with all the "stuff" -- pens, free water -- and they fixed a broken toilet handle. When WiFi went out for Apple product users on Saturday, the hotel was on top of it, too (some guy had four Apple external drives hooked up simultaneously, causing the server to shut down). A big shout out to Alfonso Alvarado, who personally called me with updates on the status of the WiFi repair. You don't get this kind of service everywhere. The WCR costs more than some other hotels, but if you need to work; work out; and want a drop deal gorgeous view of volcanoes, this is the place. A tip: The WCR's location is far better than the Barceló's another luxury hotel. The location of the Barceló is deceptive: even though it looks like it's across the street from the WCR, and it theoretically is, the three blocks that separate the two hotels represent a world of difference. In zone ten, where the WCR is located, there are dozens of restaurants and shops within safe walking distance (but be aware of who's around you, crime abounds in Guatemala), while the Barceló, in zone nine, is a tourist or business person's no-man's land, with just a McDonald's and a bunch of dreary office building to recommend it. Both hotels are essentially a ten-minute ride from the airport (although if your flight is mid-day make sure you leave enough time, because there's traffic).

Truly a Five Star hotel located in the best area in Guatemala City. Full service gym/spa with a beautiful outside pool. The landscaping at the pool will make you forget your in the center of the city. The full breakfast buffet offered at the “El Cafetal” (name of the main dining room) is a world class breakfast! Food service and quality at its best. Front desk staff, very knowledgeable and resourceful. As an EliteMember I took advantage of “The Westin Club” on the executive floor. Immediately I started to receive the exclusive , personalized and exceptional service that Eunice Guerrero and Fernando Galicia, from the concierge lounge, delivered during my entire stay. I’m in the service industry and greeting the customer by name and with a friendly smile is the key for a repeat customer. I’m planning my next business trip to Guatemala and I’ll be delighted to see these two great, customer service oriented employees again in the lounge! Please, let your employees know of their exceptional service.
