My wife and I stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Silvia, the manager, and Pedro, the owner, were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Don't expect wifi or a TV but a place to rest after a long market day. Ask for a room other than... More

We arrived at the Posada a bit tired of the long drive. The person that opened the door is the lady that works there, she is the one that makes the posada a nice place. She was so welcoming, gave us a map, adviced us on where to go, and made sure me and my family were comfortable. At night... More

My group stayed at this lovely hotel for over a week - on a Mission Trip to Guatemala. The hosts were like family to us and took care of our every need. Sylvia the housekeeper did our personal laundry for a very small fee. Our group occupied most of the rooms in the hotel and we were able to even... More

This lovely hotel not far from the central market is an oasis in Chichicastenango. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, lovingly decorated, and overlook an inviting garden. But what made the hotel so special is the warmth and friendliness of the hosts. Although we only stayed one night, Pedro, Emilsa, Eduardo and Silvia treated us like family, and could not do... More

My husband and I booked the room facing the garden with a large balcony because of the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed! Don Pedro and his family were gracious hosts and catered to our every need. Our room #7 was large, clean, private bath w hot water, had a cool fireplace and a balcony overlooking the garden.... Rooms are huge with fireplaces for when it gets chilly and are beautifully decorated with strong local character. The well kept rooms and communal areas, amazing garden at the rear, are all maintained by the friendliest of hosts. Very close to the central market. No breakfast though - head to the villa de los cofrades on the central square for... More

From the outside this place looks like the entrance to a prison.  However, once you get let into the gate you are transported into another world! We arrived without a reservation and were shown an amazing room. Really big with a beautiful terrace with a wonderful view and for a great price (approx 33USD). Easy walkable distance to the main... This place is worth the hype. The rooms are great - clean, spacious, and decorated in a pretty Mayan style. We had a fantastic night sleep here. Room 6 and 7 have a lovely shared balcony overlooking a pretty garden. Location is very good, just north of the market, and the owner is a really nice guy as are the... More

Even though we stayed only one night, we felt like the place was our home. The room we stayed in was very big, clean and beautifully decorated. The posada also has a nice garden and some of the rooms have a small balcony overlooking it. The atmosphere in general is extremely relaxing. The owners of the posada are helpful, friendly... More
