My best friend from college and I planned a weekend getaway to catch-up with each other and our spouses and to satisfy a long-time dream to visit the various sites of the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site and attend Jimmy Carter's Sunday school at Maranatha Baptist Church in nearby Plains. Kim and Sue were the perfect hosts - extraordinarily charming,...

The Americus Garden Inn Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful home, full of history and romance, but most of all the sense of being welcomed and comforted. The comfort comes in lovely rooms decorated tastefully and filled with everything one would hope to find, in the healthy and scrumptious breakfasts, and the incredible knowledge of the area that Susan and...

We were lucky enough to spend 2 glorious nights in the Verandah room on the first floor. We were made to feel so at home and enjoyed the ambiance that a lovely home such as this can afford. A wide selection of videos pertinent to the area and a cup of hot tea made the evening pleasant, while the wide...

Dear Bonni B, Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to share our excitement about all there is to see and do in and around the Americus Garden Inn Bed and Breakfast. Many people come to Americus for the 2 National Historic Sites, for Sunday School with Jimmy Carter, and to hike at Providence Canyon, the little grand...

5 years ago my sister and I decided that we needed to have a weekend getaway just for us. A Sisters Weekend. A time for us to relax and forget about stress, work, obligations, and all of that other grown-up stuff. My sister's only request was that it had to be no further than 2 hours away from her house...

Beautiful Historic Antebellum B&B and formal gardens with paths winding through them for a peaceful walk. My husband and I have stayed at quite a few B&Bs but the Americus Garden Inn is still our favorite. While the inn is gracious and beautiful, the owners/hosts, Kim and Susan are a big plus. They are SO friendly and make you feel...
