From the moment we arrived it was a first class experience! They greeted us at our car and carried our bags while they escorted us to our room. They checked us in and gave us a tour of the house while explaining the house rules and how things operated (i.e. locks etc). We are neat freaks so trust me when I say the ENTIRE house was very clean and very well kept. NO DUST ANYWHERE! The bed was extremely cozy and comfortable! The house was always quiet and peaceful. They are both the friendliest, most hospitable and truly genuine people. They redefine Southern Hospitality! We eat a plant-based diet, but that was no challenge for them. They prepared a different delicious homemade breakfast every morning! They were well able to accommodate our special diet requests. The fruit was fresh and the food was delicious to say the least. Upon arrival there was a congratulations banner over our room door and chocolates and rose petals on our bed. They are very knowledgeable on the area and history of Americus. Our stay was most unforgettable!!!…
Simply put, this is our home away from home. Kim and Susan are not only perfect hosts, their genuine compassion is so special. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfast meals are something to look forward to every morning. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more welcoming place to stay and such perfect hosts.
Our visit to Plains and Andersonville, GA was a very educational trip and one greatly enjoyed. We enjoyed it so much partly because we discovered this wonderful Bed & Breakfast place, Americus Garden Inn, a definite jewel in the south. Owners, Susan and Kim were very welcoming, very informative of the area and made sure our needs were being met at all times. You immediately felt at ease. The house was immaculately clean, comfortable, and warm. The sheets on the bed were unbelievably very soft. Breakfast was very nutritional, well-balanced, and exquisitely presented. You will not go hungry here. Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Snacks were always available at any time. I highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed and will be pleasantly pleased! It was like staying with relatives/friends. I'm telling all my friends and will come again! …
Had a wonderful visit. It was for our 35th wedding anniversary and just wanted something closer to home for a quick getaway. The room was welcoming as well as the wonderful couple who owns and runs this beautiful old home. We only had one night but it was a great place to go. Would recommend it to anyone going to the Americus area. Thank you for a peaceful getaway.
My wife , our best friends ,and I stayed at The Americus Garden Inn last week and simply loved it !! Might just be the best stay we ever experienced. Susan and Kim, the owners, were a true pleasure , They were friendly, informative and just real great people. We all loved them. The house is a classic beauty. Each room has a signature southern style and touch , and are totally spotless and comfortable. Just wonderful. We look forward to our return visit when we come back to the area, and no doubt we will be staying with Sue and Kim, whom we now consider friends. Oh, and more thing. Their breakfast of warm pumpkin muffins, fresh fruit, cheese frittatas , whole wheat pancakes and the best hot coffee, was unforgettably delicious. All in all, we loved our stay at the Americus B&B !!…
Looking for an interesting stay in a historic small town, we escaped (Hurricane Nicole) to Americus and the Americus Garden Inn. Immediately upon arrival we were greeted by Susan and Kim (Innkeepers) who welcomed us like treasured family. Our every need was met, in an impeccably clean and beautiful Inn. Cozy with ample space in the "Balcony" Room. Our King size bed was comfortable and allowed for a good nights rest. Loved waking in the morning; having coffee with the birds singing on the balcony. Breakfast was served in the dining room, at least 3 courses , oh sooo good! Truly a sensational breakfast each morning. Hot Tea and beverages in the Dining room whenever you might like. Can not recommend this more highly. Stay here you'll be glad you did.
We were in town for a family wedding. Had an Outstanding experience in every way! Kim & Susan have figured out how to treat guests royally, anticipating all your needs, yet make you feel like family! We’ll definitely be back!
I enjoying staying at B&B's and have stayed at many throughout the US and Canada. America's Garden Inn Bed & Breakfast is absolutely the best. Everything is super nice, the gardens, the house, the history, the accommodations, the breakfast, the amenities and best of all the host Kim and Susan Egelseer, they really make you feel at home.
The Americus Garden Inn Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful historic home, with a comfortable room and fantastic breakfast in its presentation and quality. The location is a short drive from Andersonville, the National Park, and Americus Georiga
Susan was very attentive from beginning to end. The house is beautiful and kept very clean. I booked the jacuzzi suite which was extremely relaxing. I had a great nights sleep! I will be staying at this home again. Thankyou!
