Cotton Tree is Great - The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent, the day trips are fun and informative (we did all-inclusive), and the overall style is very laid back and chill. We were there 8 days, which we were worried would be a lot, but it took a couple of days to settle...

The week was about chocolate; learning everything from picking pods from the cacao trees to the fermentation process, drying and roasting of the beans. The Cotton Tree Lodge folks set up all of our tours to the farms of the cacao growers and tours of different small processors. After breakfast each morning, we would head out for a day filled...

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, greeting you upon arrival w/ a fresh Rum Punch while they introduced you to the lodge and potential activities. The birds and howler monkeys let you know you are in the middle of the jungle (without it requiring too great an effort to get there). The top floor room of the Garden Cabana...

Cotton Tree is a small resort about 40 minutes from Punta Gorda in southern Belize. One is in the middle of nowhere, there is nothing else around...which is what we like. The guest rooms are ~12 thatched huts on stilts. Most of them are along the riverbank, some just across the raised boardwalk. (I was told that the resort closes...

Cotton Tree Lodge promised a secluded getaway in Punta Gorda, Belize and that is what we received. Plenty of adventure-type excursions to do, great (and fresh) food, spacious accommodations and a very unique atmosphere. Although Punta Gorda is not the easiest to get to (additional flight from Belize City or travel North from Guatemala) it was worth it. The staff...

Great food, awesome activities, and a nice river to swim in. The staff is extremely nice and caring. We had so much fun here. Yoga, massage, garden tours, rope swing, and horseback riding. The food here is delicious!!! It comes fresh from their garden and is served by polite and helpful staff. Missing cotton lodge already.

The staff was great! We really enjoyed staying at the Corazon cabin (with a private hottub facing the river). Kayaking and Hiking trips were awesome (Thanks to Nathaniel and Agapito!). And overall, it was very fun to meet other travelers during family-like dinners :)

This is a wonderful Eco-lodge right in the jungles of southern Belize. The beautiful Moho River runs right alongside some of the thatch-roofed guest cabanas. Howler monkeys in the nearby trees can be heard roaring... excellent bird-watching. Great meals, wonderful staff. So many local tours to enjoy. (the Mayan Ruins and the waterfalls were my favorites!) Well-managed and well-organized. I...

The Cotton Tree Lodge exceeded expectations on every front—the people, the location, the daily tours, THE FOOD! It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had, and I've traveled to many wonderful places around the world. You truly receive an authentic Belize jungle experience at the Cotton Tree Lodge, made complete by the genuine, giving nature of...

We had a private cabana which was very spacious and had mosquito netting throughout as well as a hot water system in the bathroom. This place is in the middle of the jungle and you really need to be prepared for everything that means, think humidity and fauna. One night we had a snake right outside our door and I...
