I arrived in Punta Gorda just before 7pm and found that the hostel I had in mind was full. They recommended Amaya's Inn to me as it was the nearest. When I arrived there were no owners there and noone to give me a room. A local man named Simon (although he has many names) phoned the owner Pip for...

The owner wasn't there when I arrived, about 9 at night, and I had to search around town for someone willing to phone, once contacted he arrived pretty sharply. I didn't have the exact money and I didn't get my change until the following morning. The place itself is pretty basic, clean enough, close to the boat to Livingston and...

Pip makes you feel welcome and I could totally trust him leaving my things there when I suddenly had to leave for a few days. He locked it all up for me. The place is good value for money, but nothing very fancy.

Stayed here because it was inexpensive. I really enjoyed my stay. Nice room, great owner who likes to chat. I had the room (facing the sea) to myself and it was cheap (for Belize). I'll stay here next time I'm in town. There's a guy named Tom who just opened a bicycle rental shop downstairs. Really cool guy; friendly and...

I found out about this place through trip advisor. This is a budget traveler's paradise. I stayed by myself and felt perfectly safe as a single female. The bathrooms were not that great as they were a bit smelly. The beds were fine and the rooms were fine. The price was a bit of an issue as I paid $20...

I have stayed at Amaya's Inn a number of times over the past 3 weeks. Victor the owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are charged at $15 bz per person per night but they are basically private rooms because he won't put strangers together. The rooms are simple but clean. One room with a bunk, one with a single...

The hotel is on Front street about 3 blocks from the dock, and overlooks the ocean. There are 3 rooms (I believe they all have one queen size and 2 bunk beds) and one shared bathroom. The rooms are simple (beds and fan), but the beds are comfortable. There is also a refrigerator and free coffee in the common space,...
