Overall this place is great. My husband and I really liked it. We stayed in a beautiful cabana. The mosquito net was great! The only thing that kept us from an excellent review was the water in the sink and shower. It smelled too much of sulfur. Because of the outrageous price of clean water, we completely understood the reason for it, but after the 4th night there, it was pretty tough. Michael and Mia arranged 3 tours and a shuttle from San Ignacio for us. The Bonefish Grill was out of this world! ALL the staff was magnificent.

Thank you for choosing the Singing Sands Inn and taking your time to write a positive review. We will pass on your comments to our staff as well. We did have an issue with our well water, which is brackish and normally has only a trace of sulfur, but that is now resolved. I apologize it wasn't acceptable during your stay but I hope you will stay with us again if your travels bring you back to the area. We enjoyed meeting you both! Michael - Owner

Our search for somewhere to stay for rest and relaxation at the end of our tour of Belize brought us here and we were not disappointed. Mia and Michael, and not forgetting Charlie! are exceptional hosts who with their friendly team do their utmost to ensure you enjoy your stay. Our quirky cabana was basic, but a few steps through the palm trees to the water’s edge compensated as did the peace and tranquillity of the setting. With a comfortable bed and constant hot shower water the only thing lacking was a brighter lamp for bedtime reading! The food in the Bonefish Grill was delicious, beautifully presented and cooked fresh to order, so patience at busy times is required but is worth the wait. We enjoyed watching the Pelicans, Kingfishers and an Osprey catch fish and the melodious Kiskadee singing in the morning beats an alarm clock any day.

Thank you for choosing the Singing Sands Inn and taking the time to write a review. We appreciate the positive comments and will pass them along to our staff as they are the main reason we are able to make our guests stays enjoyable. We do agree that we have a wonderful gem here that does offer peace and tranquility. We are replacing all of our lamps with wall lamps above the bed headboards to improve the lighting so your comments are duly noted. Please come back and see us if your travels bring you back to the Placencia area. Michael - Owner

We recently spent 7 days at the Singing Sands . The grounds, gardens and pool are beautiful. We stayed in thatched roof cabanas. Our hosts were very friendly and helped us to set up day trips when we requested. We would definitely recommend this for your vacation in Belize.

Mia & Mike are exceptional hosts. The Bonefish Grill was amazing! The staff were top notch! We ate breakfast & dinner & ordered off the menu. The Korean barbecue was highly recommended & so worth trying. My son-in-law went on a fishing trip & caught a big fish which the kitchen prepared for us. Delicious, Very private tropical paradise! Cabanas were rustic but adequate! Mia arranged our 3 excursions which were snorkeling, the jungle tour & Maya Ruins. Also visited a spice farm-Beautiful!

Small, quiet oasis! Private cabanas set amongst lovely foliage but yet right on the beach. Nice dock to have your morning coffee or late night star gazing. Kayaks and bikes available for your use. Pool with loungers and tables . Fantastic on site restaurant (try the Korean BBQ). Ronaldo will take care of you !
