The accommodations were excellent. The rooms were spacious and had a great view of the ocean. The staff was wonderful and the restaurant and food were superb. The service was great and all the amenities were 5 stars.
Stopped by this little oasis on the way back from an epic snorkeling adventure and found the most charming ocean stopover spot you can imagine. Blissfully chill vibe, from the heartily-stocked bar to the food menu to the large pelicans, hanging within arm’s reach of humanity. Lots to explore and places to stay, but all I know is we enjoyed 90 sweet minutes of relaxation and libation before heading back to our base of vacation operations.
A perfect place to have lunch after hours of snorkeling with sharks and sea turtles! We chose fish tacos and a club sandwich. We enjoyed a little walk on the beach. It was a day trip we didn’t stay on island but that’s a possibility. The lunch prices seemed to be around $15-20 American per person but the experience=priceless!
This was my third time staying at Ray Caye and it just gets better with each visit! I love the upgrades they have done to the island. This place really is paradise and the staff is amazing!! Will be back in May for my wedding! :)
Ray Caye is what I always dreamed the Caribbean would be like. Untouched reefs, water every shade of blue, quiet, private, and so many things to do at the same time! Luxury travelers, honeymooners or families, everyone has a place here! And the Food... Every day we ate at the LionFish Grill we found ourselves saying: “This is the best (whatever we were eating) I’ve ever had!” Steak, lobster, fish and chips, hamburgers, milkshakes, grilled chicken, etc. The menu was amazing and they had multiple options every night for a full course meal. The resort came and picked us up in there own boat and it’s a 45 minute ride deep into the untouched Caribbean ocean. We passed other island resorts closer to the mainland until we finally landed on our little island, literally on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef of Belize. We were greeted with cool towels and fresh made juice, our bags were taken to our brand new rooms that were so clean and bright. It was perfect. Although there were other people on the island we felt like we were the only ones. They have everything to do: sailing, fishing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, paddle boarding, or ask one someone to take you out and explore the silk cayes or visit the swimming pool in the middle of the ocean. Our snorkeling excursion that came with the package we booked was so much fun. Our guide literally would pop his head out of the water and tell us the name EVERY fish we could see, he pointed out amazing underwater life, and then let us explore one of the silk cayes by ourselves and just relax. The same guide took us SCUBA diving and we felt so safe with him and he let us spear the lion fish and feed it to the sharks! How many people can say they did that? It was literally paradise. I can’t wait to rerun and see all the new things they’re currently putting in. The staff treats you like family, my wife and I just got married so we couldn’t give out tips like we wanted to but it’s not expected, they’re just grateful and appreciative that we’re there. That’s one thing we loved, everyone took great pride in THEIR Resort, their ocean, their reefs, they LOVE sharing it with you. Thanks so much Raye Caye! …
