If you have not visited Ray Caye Island Resort, add it to your list because everyone deserves a taste of paradise. We spent 3 nights at Ray Caye Island Resort and we were blown away by the excellent customer service we received from the staff (From the house keeper to the waitors to the bartender to the tour guide to the director). Everything we requested was made possible, even if permission needed to be requested. Our kids loved the kids- friendly pool. We had our own pool on our villa but they preferred the main pool because it was perfect for my 1 year old daughter. The slide was a highlight for us. We were on the slide every afternoon and jumped from the Dock couple times a day. We even did a hobbie cat ride with Jeff. This ride was informative and fun. The food and drinks served were also great. I loved the fresh watermelon and orange juice. The view from our room was amazing but I realized that every location had a perfect view. It definitely was an amazing four days in paradise.

We had a large group that went here for a few days. Donna and the entire staff are great and make sure everything is lined up to help make your vacation relaxing. We fished a couple of days inshore for permit, bonefish and tarpon. Marlin was a great guide. Good food and very relaxing! Fresh fruit and ceviche everyday day for snacks and a great variety on the menu to accommodate all kinds of tastes. Cant wait to go back!

Out by itself, Ray Cay is a first class island resort that is continuing to add enhancements. Very comfortable with great diving and snorkel trips. Easy to get to and easy to immerse yourself in the relaxing atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. We will be back.

If you're considering Ray Caye for your honeymoon, stop reading this review, go book it, and then come back. From the moment we arrived in Placencia it was clear that Ray Caye places the needs and safety of their guests above all else. Upon landing at the Maya Island Air airport, we were greeted by Eduardo who loaded our bags and immediately took us to Ray Caye's marina where a boat was waiting for us. From there, we enjoyed an hour boat ride where George explained different facts about each of the cayes as well as Ray Caye itself. Once we arrived on the island we were greeted by Cynthia and Juan, who had prepared our welcome drinks. I feel it is important to say that everything that was promised by Ardie Young, the booking agent for Ray Caye, was delivered without any shortcuts being taken. We stayed in the Honeymoon villa and appropriately selected the Honeymoon Package, which was perfect for our needs. It was a balance between complete relaxation and adventure, with snorkeling trips to the Turtle Spot and the Silk Cayes (must do). I feel at this point in my review it is important to mention the attentiveness of the staff on Ray Caye. By the end of Day 1, everyone knew our names, greeted us morning, noon, and night, and were helpful with any questions we had. I would especially like to mention Elroy and Marion, who completely made our trip by taking us snorkeling, fishing, and giving us some local knowledge so we could catch Bonefish around the island. We really enjoyed getting to know them and they went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our time on Ray Caye. In addition to them, Juan, Antonio, Noe, and Jose took great care of us for every meal and drink that we could possibly want and we found that we spent quite a few nights hanging around at the bar with them learning about the area, themselves, and their families. These guys work hard to make you feel like you are the only guest on the island (on a few different occasions we were!) The housekeeping staff was always available for anything we needed in that regard and were attentive toward when we were away so that they could change our sheets and towels. Hearing different stories from Rasta was always fun and enjoyable. Finally, Dasha and Cynthia were quick to lend a helping hand or point us in the right direction for activities/things to see/do. Another thing worth noting is the food, which was delicious local cuisine that we looked forward to every day. With our package, we found that we could not get enough of the amazing breakfasts and lunches along with the hand-selected menu that changed for dinner every night. I could ramble on and on about Ray Caye and its luxurious, yet truly authentic experience. This tucked-away resort has everything honeymooners could ever wish for, from total relaxation to pure adventure. Perhaps our most favorite aspect of the entire trip was not any one amenity or excursion, but the proximity we shared with the staff, who treat the island as their own home and work diligently to rake every leaf, meet the needs of every guest, and ensure that you walk away feeling as though you are part of their Ray Caye family.

We stayed at Ray Caye for a week in May 2021. It was a wonderful experience. Accommodations were first rate including air conditioning and fast internet connections. The food served at resort’s restaurant, the Lionfish Grill, was exceptional For breakfast and lunch, you order off a menu and dinners are a 3 course menu with options to choose from for appetizers and main courses. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. We are avid snorkelers and had an outing every day to nearby reefs to snorkel that were great. The guides were personable, knowledgeable and flexible. Our main guide Elroy was in a class by himself and became a good friend by the end of the week. Working with Ardie to arrange our visit was a pleasure. This was our first vacation in a very long time due to the pandemic and we couldn’t have made a better choice. Bravo, Ray Caye!
