Went the first week in November for 6 days ----- what a fantastic and magical place --located about 8 miles off the coast of Placencia Belize on a beautiful Key. The small cabanas you stay in are located over the water with spectacular views looking east toward the barrier reef. They do have kayaks available and will set them up...

Thanks Peter! It was great having you a Bill join us for a week. I want to book some striper fishing with you in 2017 if you have any slots open.

Tarpon Caye was the best fishing experience of my life I will be coming back this December and for the rest of my life. I am 13 and I caught my first tarpon there thanks to Mr. Leslie and our assistant Carlos. Mr. Leslie is the most knowledgeable fly fishermen I've ever met. I came to Tarpon Caye with a...

This was my first visit to Tarpon Caye and my first ever attempt to land a Permit on a fly rod. With the expert help of Charlie Sr. and Charlie III, I had many opportunities to cast to tailing permit. I hooked one day 4 of our five day trip but he broke off!! I was beginning to think I...

This was my second visit to Tarpon Caye from March 22-28th,and it did not dissapoint. Charlie Sr. and his staff of guides and are exceptional at what they do, which is to put you on fish. We had a group of 8 fishermen, 7 out of 8 of us at least hooked permit, not bad. The tarpon fishing was slow...

Just back from Tarpon Caye Resort…actually spent 14 some days on the island. - First and foremost this is a fishing camp…Fishing is the number one focus of Tarpon Caye…maybe a day or two relaxing would be fine but amenities are certainly not “resort” like. This might change but for now fish, fish, fish. Permit are the major target. You...

I organized and hosted a group of 8 anglers for a 4 night/3 day trip to Tarpon Caye in March. This trip was everything we expected it to be. Tarpon Caye did a great job ushering our group through airplane tranfers in Belize City and Placencia. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which is important when they were the...

Had a great 3 days at the caye. Swam, lounged, had great meals prepared by the local chef and assistant chef. Reasonable price. Coming back next year. It was easy getting there from Placencia. Cab pick up and 1 hour boat ride out. Tarpon Caye is marketed as a fly fishing destination, but even if you don't fish-like me- it's...

I have been to Tarpon Caye Lodge 5 times now. I keep coming back for the overall experience. It is not a five star resort and doesn't claim to be. It is a very unique experience out in the Caribbean on a small gorgeous island. My passion is fishing. This time I finally caught my grand slam, a permit, a...
