I stayed here for three weekends during my time with Reef CI (volunteering) and really enjoyed the stays. Staff were incredibly friendly, welcomed me back each time. They have bikes for free and golf carts to rent. Location has easy access to everything, on foot or by bike but the hotel also drops you wherever you want to go if you prefer that or have luggage. Really relaxed atmosphere and clean rooms. Fair prices if I compare to what other people in my program were paying or getting for their money. Restaurant is also good and is on the waterfront.

We stayed 7 nights in room12 & enjoyed the harbor view, excellent AC, and full kitchen, living area & separate bedroom. The dinner & breakfast in the restaurant was very good & plentiful. Alan, our host picked us up at the airport & made sure we arrived there for our flight out. He also provided transportation to several places on the main drag. We couldn't have asked for a more generous host & a cheerful & willing to help staff, arranging for both flights in and out of Placencia before we arrived. Our housekeeper was a joy with her cheerfulness and creative bath towel designs awaiting us each day on a return from an adventure in town or on the water. Our only concerns water pressure & lack of hot water.

This colorful, friendly and modest hotel is perfectly located at the southern tip of Placencia village. There is considerably less wind than on the more exposed western side of the village. You are close to the starting point of the mile long board walk, lined with little shops and restaurants. We stayed in room 12, which has a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony with a stunning sea view. Rooms 10 and 11 also have a balcony with sea view. Most of the other rooms have windows to the back of the hotel. As a hotel guest you get free use of their bicycles and kayaks. We had great fun exploring the lagoon just round the southern tip of the peninsula. The hotel restaurant serves excellent breakfast, the best eggs in town. Staff and management were very friendly and helpful, very easy to deal with.

Located beyond the paved road and a short walk through residential area past their parking lot, this resort is tucked away from the tourist chaos but close enough to walk to join in all the shopping, beach, and restaurant fun Placencia has to offer. Hotel staff were attentive but not intrusive and allowed us to use a table all day to sit and visit. Our two rooms varied in size and accommodations but were clean and comfortable.
Compared to the very pricey newer places, we felt we landed a bargain with this established resort. We would stay there again.
Staff recommended the chili lime lobster and it didn’t disappoint. Every meal there was tasty and the breakfast stuffed jack was a delight.
Although we were off season and the gift shop was closed, the book exchange shelf had some good titles, and a chairs under a palm tree offered the perfect place to read. Wi-Fi was strong throughout the hotel, but put your phone and laptop away and enjoy the view!
The staff members were gracious and hospitable. They provided golf cart rides to help retrieve luggage from the parking lot about a block away, scrounged up a ladder for us when we wanted to swim off the dock, laughed with us as they served food, and helped in any way we asked.
We borrowed resort kayaks and loved it.
The moon rose over the ocean and was visible from the resort beach.
Watch your step on uneven height stairs. Sea grass area makes beach swimming not as appealing but the sandy public beach is a short walk away.

We have stayed @ Paradise Resort several times and always go back to start our Belizean adventures as it’s centrally located and perfect for water activities and a jumping off point for fishing, diving and tours to Monkey River. Staff are nice and food always good. Cheers

Clean rooms, restaurant and bar onsite. They have rooms with a view but we took a basic room since we were spending little time in it. There are other places to stay but not for us, a realization I came to as we left and it didn’t feel like checking out of a Hotel, it felt like we were leaving family. Everyone was amazing and Kay the chef made sure everything she cooked for me was Glutenfree. Cannot wait to come back and see everyone.

Our stay in Placentia was great. We stayed at the Paradise Resort at the south end of Placentia Village, with a sea view and a suite with kitchen and balcony overlooking the Caribbean. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was excellent. I would stay here again!! Rick

Paradise has responsive and helpful staff all around, from Nazle in the reception, to Dylan, minding the bar over the water. They can't do enough for you.

Rooms on the second floor overlooking the sea are prime.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Alan’s Paradise Hotel. First off it’s in a quiet area but close to the harbor and the Sidewalk. About a 10 minute or less walk. We didn’t have a car or a golf cart. There is parking if you want it. The rooms were clean and an ok size. Not big. The bathroom was a good size. Now the real plus. We got fresh towels everyday. What a nice treat. There is a restaurant which served all 3 meals. Breakfast was good. We were out for the other meals. There is a shuttle to the airport and the Hokey Pokey water taxi.

I'm interested in 4-5 days of scuba diving. How convenient is this?
Stann Creek, Belize14 contributions
We can set trips up for you based on your level of diving and the trips available during your stay. We do not run the trips our self but can book for you. Let us know what your dates are and we will let you know our availability for those dates. This is our busy time of the year so if you are going during the next few months rooms will be limited but there will be a lot of dive trips to chose from. Let us know as soon as possible your dates. We look forward to being able to have you with us here at Paradise.

Ronald, We have a dock over the water and it is possible to fish from there, but the new dock goes out much further and many people find that fishing better. It is still not very deep at the end of our dock. Please let us know if you have other questions.

is there a pool? does the beach have clear clean water? beach chairs? mexican food? fish?
Stann Creek, Belize14 contributions
There is no pool at the hotel. Only condos in the village have pools. We do have a 2 bedroom condo not far from the hotel that does have a very nice pool. The water around Placencia is not the quality of the Bahamas. We have a bulkheaded area with beach chairs and up the beach there are some public beach chairs. We do serve lots of Mexican food and lots of fish and other seafood in our restaurant.
