Just when I thought Naia Resort and Spa could not improve, enter SOLVEI. This home is nothing short of spectacular. From the layout which includes 5 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms allowing privacy and luxury to the ultimate degree. The impeccable kitchen which is downstairs on the pool level has high end appliances. A large living room space with very comfortable furniture in on the same level. The pool area along with barbecue area allows for some wonderful outdoor fun with family or friends. The home is fully automated, so the lighting and sound system can be customized to your every need. How about a light show in the pool tonight while listening to you favorite reggae music outside. Some might prefer to be inside playing pool listening to rock music in the A/C cooled home - well, its all an option. The middle floor has a large game table for playing pool or table tennis. There is also a huge TV (although, who would want to watch TV when you have all the outdoor beauty Naia, Placencia and Belize has to offer). 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a powder room. Some bedrooms have their own private patios with sweeping Caribbean Sea views. The entire third floor is the master suite. The patios are amazing, allowing both sunrise and sunset views. Worried about all the stairs - fear not, there is an elevator. To top it off, there is a concierge dedicated to Solvei. Our concierge was Kamille who was simply wonderful. She was attentive and fulfilled any requests we had.

Naia Resort exceeded our expectations! The staff knew us by name and took care of our every need. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with plunge pool, and it was amazing! Showering al fresco was the best! The food at the restaurant was over the top. I'm still dreaming about the conch carpaccio! We also enjoyed the spa during our stay, and had the most magical couples massage. We can't wait to come back to Naia!

I have waited several weeks to write this review. I found Solvei to be so comfortable and beautiful, I just wanted to give myself time to regain perspective and not write something so over the top that it would not be believed. But this place is truly pristine. I have traveled extensively and been fortunate enough to stay at some of the best hotels in the world and in Belize. Solvei is unparalleled. If you are traveling to Placencia, Belize and you want to feel like you are rich and famous, this is the spot for you. You can read all about the size, bedrooms, bathrooms online. But suffice it to say, it’s a new, very large, modern, beautifully appointed home that will be enjoyed by everyone in your party. We were 4 adults w/ 14y & 16y boys. We let the boys have the entire second floor, which gave them access to the pool table, the ping pong table, televisions, 3 full bathrooms, a powder room and 3 full bedrooms, two private balconies and much more space than they needed. We gave our close friends the entire 3rd level which consists of 1 large bedroom, a large sitting area, a very large bathroom and an entire outdoor deck/yoga studio with wet bar, etc. Again tons of space and our friend practiced yoga every morning with a view of the sea. I should mention that in addition to the stunning sea views (as this is a seafront property) you can also watch the beautiful sunset over the Mayan mountains at night, just look the other direction on that 3rd floor balcony. We took the first level bedroom. We thought this was giving them the best, but I’m not so sure that we didn’t get the best at the end of the day. With floor to ceiling windows, I fell asleep watching the stars every night. And don’t worry about the stairs, there is an elevator. When I write a review, I like to include a list of everything you should bring with you, to achieve comfort. Well, don’t bring anything except your clothes, your swimsuit and all your stress. You can unpack your stress and leave it there. ;-) Naia has everything you need in Solvei. I am a person who avoids public pools and communal pools of all types and sizes. So having the nearly olympic sized pool at Solvei all to ourselves gave me the unique opportunity to swim every day, in peace and solitude. There’s a whole house sound and lighting system, which ties into the internet and can play music from hundreds of stations around the world and also connects directly to your phone, if you prefer your own play lists. Never ever did I envision myself laying by the pool, listening to my favorite music and swimming for days on end. I usually can’t stay put. But once you are at Solvei, you really don’t want to leave. So you relax….. You obviously have a full kitchen with two dishwashers and we especially enjoyed the outdoor BBQ area. We cooked outside nearly every night. Several in our party are counting macros, so this allowed us to control our portions and prepare plenty of protein daily. As if this isn’t enough, you have your own private daily concierge, checking in to make sure you have everything you need, booking your excursions, your spa packages, your gym time slots and your kayak usage. (If you are interested in the spa, I can strongly recommend the massage and facial package. It’s perfect) She also works hard to schedule the cleaning team when you are out of the house. This makes life a little easier in these COVID times. Naia has taken every precaution and it’s helpful that they are sanitizing the gym between patrons and only allowing members of the same party into the gym at the same time. I should mention that I have stayed at Naia probably close to a dozen times by now. I love the resort and the people. But this is the first time we were able to book Solvei and now….. I can’t wait to get back there.

Thank you Faura for your lovely disposition and making our stay at Naia so enjoyable. Our experience was wonderful as stated earlier. I am back on here because FAURA at the front desk was amazing! (I used the incorrect name earlier review-Sheena was at the spa). Faura greeted us warmly when we arrived and made us feel like we were king and queen. The Belizean "punch" served to us while we waited for our luggage was truly delicious and a great way to begin our week of paradise living. Faura is the "go to" person on this resort. She gets things done and accommodates the guests wonderfully. Thank you so much Faura and Naia Resort and Spa!

Our 30th Anniversary trip was rescheduled in 2020 due to COVID and we were disappointed BUT we found this GEM and were SO SO happy!! June 2021 we stayed at Naia in a beachcottage near the beach area with a plunge pool. It literally felt like we were in the Garden of Eden. The resort was not crowded at all-super peaceful, relaxing, and enjoyable for a private vacation. Our room was clean-spotless. All the towels and linens were crisp and sanitary. There was no question about sanitary concerns-we give 5 stars. The indoor tub faced an outdoor shower and garden. Lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided were extraordinary-smelled heavenly. The spa does sell these products as well to take home with you. Let's talk NAiA spa! I wasn't convinced-but my husband insisted for our 30th he was going to pamper us both. He reserved a spa day for two and it was totally worth $300 going to the Naia Spa. We walked down the path to view the spa area a day in advance and decided to arrive for our treatment an hour early to enjoy the pool and fountain, have a drink, and swing in the swings. You won't regret it-the coconut sugar scrub all over your body is one of the best features. Spend the extra money on this (and make sure you have a little extra to tip these women-it was heavenly). Sheena and Claudine at the front desk were top notch. Sheena gave us all the info for excursions and based her recommendations on what we really wanted to see. The Silk Caye boat excursion with snorkeling was amazing! There was only one resort restaurant open when we went. Looked like there is another upstairs overlooking the ocean, but it was closed due to COVID. The food is yummy. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the ginger muffins were delicious. Hubby liked the shrimp ceviche. We rented a gold cart from Inky's mini golf across the street from Naia. Levi delivered the cart to us. A 12 hour-day cost $60 and we rode all over the island, into town, ate, shopped, and enjoyed gelato at Tutti Frutti. At evening we played mini-golf for $7 a person, it was beautiful and romantic with the outdoor lighting- drinks were available at the bar. One thing to note about the beach at Naia-ask for chairs to be brought to the location. Also, room service will deliver out to the beach. We loved this fun fact we discovered. Of course, we tipped a buck or two. My sister stayed at San Pedro Island Belize and while it was gorgeous there- I'm happy we chose Naia. We can't wait to go back!
