My girlfriend and I travelled to Naia Resort and Spa in Placencia Belize from the USA to attend a wedding and reception. The ceremony was held on the beach in front of the Caribbean Sea under a canopy with gorgeous flowers everywhere. Following the nuptials, what must have been at least 100 attendees moved to the pool area for drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres. We all then moved to the beautiful 1981 restaurant area for a seated reception that included a fabulous meal, wine, champagne, speeches, and dancing. Throughout all of this, an incredible staff handled everything perfectly and seamlessly. I have never witnessed any team of individuals make a challenging event such as this come off so effortlessly and beautifully. I urge anyone planning a destination event to consider Naia and its fabulous staff. You won’t be sorry or disappointed.…
Naia Resort exceeded our expectations! The staff knew us by name and took care of our every need. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with plunge pool, and it was amazing! Showering al fresco was the best! The food at the restaurant was over the top. I'm still dreaming about the conch carpaccio! We also enjoyed the spa during our stay, and had the most magical couples massage. We can't wait to come back to Naia!
This place has A-1 service and amenities. It is extremely clean, new, and it feels safe. I loved the clean beach and hammocks. The pool is near the bar and restaurant and it was very affordable with beers each around $2.50 USD. This is not a party town or resort by any means, but it is a place to relax and quietly socialize with the staff and other guests. The yoga studio was truly beautiful with wood touches everywhere. Belize is known for mahogany and teak woods which were abundant in the decor of this resort. There were free bicycles, paddle boarding, and kayaks. Beach games too. I would not recommend bicycle riding into town because that felt unsafe to me, but rather I would take a shuttle to the grocery store and old town to check out other restaurants. You can easily stay at this resort without any other excursions to enjoy a true beach respite. If you want to take a tour, I highly suggest the Mayan Ruins and river tubing. Make sure you are healthy for this tour! If you have heart, blood pressure, back or leg issues, this would not be recommended. Snorkeling at Silk Caye (pronounced Key) seems to be better than Laughing Bird Caye in terms of seeing diverse animals. I did not notice any kind of hospital, pharmacy, or emergency or rescue services when I was touring the country or hanging around Placencia. Your health and safety are in your own hands here. I will say that I drank the tap water and never got sick. The enjoyable puddle jumper flights are worth the convenience. I loved my stay at Naia and I would definitely come back here for a relaxing vacation.…
We were placed at this hotel for a package arranged by another hotel. We were sold a meal package which I accepted based on the website claiming 3 restaurants on site. There was only 1 restaurant (although they do serve the same dinner menu in two locations) that served the same menu constantly except for a daily special. This was disappointing when there for 5 days. We also assumed that the large amount of land at the resort would mean places to walk and things to do. However, the land is all carved up into buildable lots that are waiting for someone to buy. Mostly just scrub vegetation, although the ponds were pretty enough. Little to do on site beside bike or pool. The beach was basically not usable due to kelp outbreak and is very shallow so don't expect to play in ocean waves. Facilities were very nice...we were looking for a more interactive place and this did not fit the bill. Would agree it would be good if you just want to lounge and spa. Staff was wonderful.…
This is a beautiful, serene, upscale resort in the southern part of Belize on the Placencia peninsula. All rooms are these amazing beach villas, very private and so luxurious. The moment you drive into the property you’ll know you’re in for the time of your lives. Wonderful staff greets your arrival with a refreshing cocktail. Let the relaxation begin! Start out your day with a massage in the most perfect setting for a spa. You’ll have your own private cabana on the lagoon, so zen. Your room looks out to the sea, and they’ll bring out your own chaise at the beach for you and you only to use during your stay. Great to watch the sunrise and to hang out in the sun. Or go to the pool, order some adult beverages and some delicious seafood. Breakfast is included and it’s great! Oh the Villa!!! Very very accommodating. Coffee to freshly grind each day, take out to your beach chair or sit on your porch. Small kitchen is so helpful. Spacious bathroom and the Best is the outdoor shower. Couldn’t wait to take a shower! It was such a nice touch. As you can see by the photos this place is beautiful, even more so in person. 30 minute flight from Belize city and then a short drive. Perfect place for Romance.…
The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Our cottage was beautiful, comfortable and clean. It was lovey to have our own patio and pool nestled in a lush garden with a view of the beach. Jerry at the bar made amazing drinks and the spa is a must do!
Resort was awesome. The villa was very nice, well decorated and very well maintained. Unfortunately I was there under quarantine, but Pam and staff made me fell at home. Pam was excellent, helping me through the Covid rules and regulations. I can’t thank her enough The food from room service was very good and the prices were very reasonable. Service was real fast. Look forward to returning for a normal vacation. Just a great place
I cannot begin to tell you how fabulous this resort is. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath villa with a pool on the beach and it was incredible. Every staff member makes an effort to know your name and call you by name every time they see you. The service at the front desk is top notch, as is the service staff in both the restaurants. The spa is definitely the best I have been to. I had the massage and it was so good that I immediately booked a facial with Erin. A beautiful setting and amenities made for a perfect day. We took our grandchildren who are 14 and 17 and they loved every minute of our time here. The resort will provide a shuttle to town for dinner and will come pick you up for a very small fee. I highly recommend Naia resort and spa if you are going to Placencia!…
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Naia and had the best time ever! We went fishing, snorkeling, river tubing and zip line. Wilder was the bomb guide and educated us on all the local history and cuisine!!! The staff were extremely accommodating and we highly recommend a studio beach front amazing view and hugeee outdoor shower. Amir and Jerry were the best bartenders and made amazing speciality drinks. Jamie and Arleen were wonderful for dinner services and ensured we were well cared for and recommending local spots for us to try. Manny and Pamela went the extra mile to make us feel welcome with lots of laughs and even some unique meal requests including salbutes prepared by chef Anthony and RJ! All the food was amazing. We highly recommend taking kayaks out from the resort and paddling to the nearest caye and snorkeling around you won’t be disappointed! If you love adventure you will find it here. The resort is mellow and relaxing not anything like the party atmosphere I am used to when going to all inclusive but the staff made up for the lack of entertainment. I would also bring food or snacks since everything is closed at 9:00pm and you have to take a car ride to the closest shop. We will absolutely be back to celebrate an anniversary!! Thank you to all the naia staff -Ben and Nikki…
For my 50th birthday I wanted to go away somewhere special that I had never been before. I decided on Belize b/c I heard so many great things and it was the easiest to get to. The Resort: Naia Resort and Spa is sort of new, small, and sits on beautiful grounds. It’s what I feel is a nice hotel but still with a Belize feel. Clean and peaceful. I decided to rent the bungalow on the beach which are HUGE and well decorated. They have bikes onsite that you can borrow which I did in the mornings to ride around the grounds and then to the beautiful spa area. If you get a chance to go to Ms Erika I got a hot stone massage that was heavenly. But the best part of the resort is Ms. Floret at the front desk! Floret, Michelle and the sweet young waitress at the restaurant (Destiny??) who will make sure you have a wonderful stay. I can’t say enough about Ms. Floret. She truly cares about the guests and is always a joy to see! She brought me flowers for my birthday and even had them set up balloons in my room. I’ve traveled all over the world and for work often. It’s the people that make a stay! Placencia: The area is small and not too built up - which is a good thing. There is a lovely small village with restaurants, bars and shops. If you’re looking for beautiful jewelry I want to make a plug for Kaj Expressions in the village. This trip was so much needed. I was by myself the entire time but didn’t feel like it because everyone is so wonderful. I hope to be back soon! …
