We spent one night at Chaleanor hotel before heading to Tobacco Caye. The hotel is ok, but I think quite expensive for the value. The staff is very nice and friendly though and they also helped us booking our boat for the next day to head to Tobacco Caye. The hotel location is great and walking distance from the beach and the marina where the boat leave. We were also able to leave our rental car there for 3 nights at some extra costs.
We found this to be a great place to stay for a night before heading out to the islands. The owners and their family who work there are super nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just steps from the main dock where you catch the boats to the islands, making it easy to get up in the morning and head down for the boat. For a small fee, they allowed us to park our car there while we were on the island as well, which was very helpful. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. We would stay again.
We stayed one night and found it to be clean, comfortable and convenient - but most of all we felt very welcomed by Eleanor and Chad, the owners and Iverson their hotelier in training. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
My 2 week stay at the Chaleanor Hotel was the most pleasant and relaxing traveling experience I have ever had. The owners, Eleanor and Chad, and the rest of the staff were all very helpful and pleasant throughout my stay. I'll be staying there again. There is a rooftop deck that provides a beautiful view of the area and the ocean front.
Great family run hotel, probably the best one to be found in Dangringa. The owners often operate the desk themselves, provide good security and give friendly advice and information. Budget rooms with shared showers as well as private family rooms available.
