We stopped here for breakfast before our flight from Dangriga to Belize City (it's 2 blocks from the airport). We all had the Fried Jacks (like a sopapilla) filled with various breakfast items. The dough for these is unique and delicious! You are right on the beach in a lovely setting.

I'm three days into a four-night stay. On the plus side, this is the most comfortable place to stay in Dangriga itself. The beach setting is fabulous. The staff do seem to try. As I write I'm drinking a bottle of Belikin. It's covered in thick dust. The staff could not be bothered to wash it off before bringing it...

The tile came from the mouth of the taxi driver, and while he was probably correct in that there is nothing of this caliber in the area I wouldn't use the word luxury so loosely. The resort is very clean. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable with soft towels and linens and the air conditioner worked great. The bathroom...

We stayed here for one night only but the food was good and the room very clean. They have air condition, TV, and Wi-Fi. I didn't see an elevator and if your handicapped, it could be an issue. We stayed in the main lodge area on the second floor with an ocean view. The breezes on the patio area was...

We spent one night here on the way back from South Water Caye to the US. After staying on the island, nothing could really compare (to be fair). The room was ok, clean , nice sheets and linen. Nice view from the balcony. Very quiet at night. The bed was very uncomfortable. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The...

With jalousie windows and paneled walls, this tropical hideaway seems like it probably hasn't changed since 1970. The individual rooms have air conditioning, which was welcome during sultry September. My room was immaculate, and the bed was comfortable. The week after Labor Day, the place was pretty much deserted. Combined with the professionalism of the staff at the front desk,...

I've lived in the country of Belize all my life and it took 42 years for me to reach down to Dangriga and enjoy a stay at Pelican Beach Resort. Seems I've been missing out on this little hidden treasure. A bit on the small side but big on charm, this resort was quite charming I must say. Smack on...

This was our second time staying at Pelican Beach in Dangriga. As usual it was a very pleasant stay. The rooms are comfortable and you have a great view of the sea. I must admit that the food service is slow, so do not visit restaurant while starving. The food is good, but definitely not the best I've had.

Pelican Beach Resort is a dilemma. Their Pelican's Pouch at South Water Cay is a truly world-class resort with unparalleled service and natural environment. Pelican Beach at Dangriga Town however is the total opposite. The rooms are rather run-down and somewhat dingy. The restaurant serves good food but at an excruciatingly slow pace; if you are hungry, you will starve...
