Dangriga is a city with few vacationing amenities but Jungle Huts Resort can be very nice. The rooms were variable but had hot and cold water with some having air conditioning. The owner Phil was exceptional in trying to make our stay enjoyable. He went out of his way to find us a boat to our next destination. Additionally the...

We used the Lonely Planet Belize Guide to fin the Jungle Huts Resort after a long day of travel on our way to Glover's Atoll. We were greeted by a very nice young woman who showed us our room which had just been remodeled. Warm water shower and clean room...the bed was just a bit lumpy but doable. That evening,...

It was a pleasure to spend two nights at the Jungle Huts with Phillip and Rebecca Usher and their lovely family. Room was spotless and very pleasant. Phil cooked lobster not once but TWICE for us as it was in season. The first meal was lobster done in a wonderful pineapple sauce. As a professional chef I can appreciate his...

I stayed at the Jungle Hut two nights, once on my way to Monkey River for a volunteer trip and then again on my way back. I asked for the same room the second time, it was very clean and had it's own TV! The location is perfect, a short walk to a grocery store and also the water. There...

The location is one block from a great grocery store and only 3 blocks from town and the boat dock. My four year old daughter was instant friends with Phillip's children and they welcomed our family with open arms. It made our one-night stay in Dangriga one of the most memorable and authentic experiences in all of our travels. The...

I stayed with the Usher's at Jungle Huts for two weeks. Not only was the family so very welcoming, they made sure that we had everything we needed. My room was clean and the food (must be arranged before hand) was the most delicious food ever prepared for me--Ms. Norna is a master chef. When I was there they were...

We had a really good room for 55 dollars with tiled floor , en suite bathroom, ample hot water. Continuous supply of filter coffee and fast wifi. The breakfast was excellent value and the best we have seen in Belize. Philip was very helpful and took us to the bus station.. This place is streets above anywhere else in Dangriga....

I wouldn't stay anywhere besides Jungle Huts in Dangriga. The service was most excellent. The owner, Phil, was quick to fill any need we had. The location is great because it's a short (5 minute) walk to the main drag in town, and also to Yummy Yummy for amazing ice cream and a large market where you can purchase almost...

Lonely Planet gave this hotel a good review so I talked my wife into staying there after 8 hours in a bus and taxi. We should have kept going south. The town Dangriga wasn't the greatest town I've stayed in. Then again I've never really been a hippie or into drumming. The room was $45 us a night. We were...

Friendly upon arrival, but here it is 10 pm and the noise & techno music from downstairs is excruciating. Thin mattresses & lumpy pillows with blood stains on my sheets has me tossing & turning and counting down the hours until I can flee this joint. Free wifi & coffee & a great stewed chicken from the center of town...
