The good: Great location, just a few yards away from the pier where Thunderbolt docks. Beautiful view of the bay, great breeze to enjoy. We requested bay view. We opened our windows and enjoyed the breeze for the first few days. No A/C needed at all. The terrace has great hammocks to relax in, and of course, an amazing view and great breeze. Very close to town square, only a short walk away from bus terminal. We enjoyed the recreation areas all along the bay, along with a great place for walking/jogging in the mornings. I like how their prices stay the same, one flat rate that includes tax and all. The hotel itself was clean and decent, though not fancy. Great WiFi. The bad: The beds were not very comfortable. If you do get a budget room with no A/C, keep in mind that you may not always get a breeze through your window and it will get warm, not to mention the mosquitoes. The last night we were there, breeze suddenly stopped and mosquitoes took over. Also, on weekends, you have cars parked on the street with very loud music. This was solved by shutting the window, but then it got hot. There is no elevator, so keep this in mind if stairs are a problem. The ugly: Very early during our last morning there, the electricity went out in the hotel and surrounding area. We were still able to shower with some of the water that was left in the pipes, but eventually it ran out so we were left with no water. Luckily, there credit card machine was still running so I was able to check out, pay, and leave. Also, when the windows are shut, there is a bad sewer smell that fills the room. I asked the guy if the electricity issue was common and he said they knew that it was going to happen. I would have appreciated it I had known so that maybe I could have showered the night before and paid for my stay ahead of time. I did not have enough cash to pay, only my credit card. In short, if you need an affordable place to stay for one or two nights, it is fine. But do not make this your main hotel. We stayed 4 days/ 3 nights.

I'm sure that, in it's day, the Mirador Hotel was quite the place. An impressive building (for Corozal, anyway) in a great location by the bay and in the centre of town. Looks pretty tired now, but solid as a rock. Friendly staff, very clean accommodations and inexpensive. Bed was uncomfortable, but the shower worked. I had the best room in house.... top floor with a fabulous ocean view. Not the worst place to stay...

No fancy, room super clean! Lovely view. I did like was the open and close door, got me tired. If I wanted to come they to open the door for me and close it back. I guess to be safe! But everything was great.

Nothing fancy here. Clean rooms. Secure paring. Surprisingly good Chinese restaurant. We got across border after leaving Cancun at noon but it was getting dark. Auto insurance agent recommended this hotel.

I paid $35/night for a room without A/C. Rooms with A/C cost $50, and that is overpriced, but you need the A/C in Corozal. Room rather cramped. Not good water pressure in shower. Sink water pressure was laughably bad. Excellent rooftop terrace affording spectacular views of the town. Close to decent restaurants such as Al's Cafe. Adjoining Chinese restaurant is no good. Nice, friendly staff, including two Belizean twin sisters who are beautiful. Not far from the bus station. Close to a Scotia Bank. Close to stores that sell drinks. A taxi to Cerros costs $40 for the trip out, back, and waiting time. The masks at Cerros are fiberglass replicas. Close to the dock for the Thunderbolt water taxi. A nice place that is Western-owned that is a ways from the center of town is the Copper Horse Inn...Canadian lady owns it and was very nice to me when I had a question. She was also grilling some delicious chicken. You'd probably be more comfortable there...

While this was one of the cheapest places in Corozal to stay, it did leave a lot to be desired. It was clean but needs a lot of maintenance and TLC. Be careful that you don't leave your items under the A/C as it leaks and leaves things very wet. When we arrived I told reception there was no hot water, everyday they promised I would have hot water today. Six days in, I left without getting my hot water. Other guests have said they have never had hot water there when they stay. The roof top patio is an asset to this place, with its beautiful view and breeze. It's a great quiet location, walking distance to everything. I don't think I would stay there again. I think for a couple dollars more there are much nicer places around.

We were offered a great ocean view room. The room is bright and comfortable but not fancy by any means. It has a great roof top balcony which is huge with splendor view of the bay. Amazing emerald green water. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Chinese restaurant down stairs is super cheap and pretty good. It is in the center of town within walking distance to most of the restaurants we wanted to go. We will be back!

Fair prices, an incredible view of perfect water...Everything I need (Not the newest, but clean and perfectly fine.) The staff is always helpful, the location beats ALL OTHERS (! no exaggeration there!) The little town is sweet, and very off the beaten track. Take side trips to lamanai, Sarteneja, Chetumal...So much to do and such a great old hotel.

This is not a fancy place by any means, but provides a decent sleep in a big bed and a way to shower (even though the shower does not drain properly and you end up in soapy water past your ankles). The view from the room over the water is nice, but the best thing is the rooftop terrace that offers superb sunset views. I also liked the multicolored aspect of the hotel and terrace. Wifi worked well in the evening. Corozal is a walkable town and you are close to shops and food places. Also, the hotel is 3 minutes walk from the Thunderbolt Water Taxi to San Pedro.

Room was clean, plenty of space and the bed was comfortable and huge. Hotel is located right on the bay. It's on the east of the town but within close walking distance to shops, restaurants, the ocean and parks.
