I read the previously posted review and happened to be there during that same time. That being said, we felt quite comfortable at the Sea Breeze for the 10 days we were there and found another couple who were there for an extended period of time (approx. 3 weeks) before us quite comfortable as well. We had no trouble sharing... More

We arrived in Belize on the 3rd of January 2016. Upon crossing the border we had a taxi take us to the hotel, it is now called Scotty's, the Sea Breeze has moved down the road about fifty feet. We assured the driver that this must be the sea Breeze as the photos showed the building, we were told by... More

Even tho we arrived earlier than expected Gwynn was right there out front to welcome us. Gwynn has been an ever so gracious Host, thoughtful and helpful and seems to anticipate our needs, or wants, and has fulfilled both. All our thoughts of staying here for the next 2 weeks are definitely positive. He drove us to a local hangout... More

Under the Trip Advisor rules, guests cannot review the same hotel again until 90 days have passed from their first review. These guests did try to provide an update, but found themselves unable to do so. They certainly seemed to enjoy their stay. Since that time the Sea Breeze has changed buildings and its style of operation. We now primarily... More

Great location and incredible views. Owner has cleared rocks in water across the road so swimming out the front in the blue blue water was a highlight. Comfortable rooms and good bathroom and great breakfast on the balcony area. We read a few reviews about a grumpy owner....sure sometimes he doesn't want a massive chat but I will say this;... More

I've noticed a lot of negative reviews about the Sea Breeze, however from my personal experience (I spent two weeks there on a volunteer trip with four others), the owner and staff were nothing but kind. Gwyn was very easy to contact via email and very helpful, with knowledge about the town and surrounding villages. Upon arrival, he immediately helped... More

I had a paid reservation and arrived later than expected. I arrived to the hotel closed and a sign saying they were full. I was able to yell to some other guests on the second floor and they came and let me in. They emailed the owner, but he did not reply. We finally noticed on the counter my name... More

The Sea Breeze Hotel closes the reception desk at 8pm, unless a guest requests a late check in. Existing guests have keys to come and go as they please. We chose 8pm because so few people arrive later than that. To be a budget hotel you have to keep staffing costs low. Keeping a member of staff on all night... More

We had heard only good things about the Sea Breeze and were very excited to check it out. It didn't take us long after our arrival to feel extremely uncomfortable and almost unwelcome in the presence of the owner. He was extremely rude and obnoxious. He was anything but helpful. Not only does the hotel advertise that they have a... More

Trip Advisor is a useful service and one that I refer to when traveling. But in order to be trusted it needs fair minded, accurate and timely reviews. If it is ever used as a tool to drive business away from one establishment and towards another, then its veracity and usefulness are diminished. The image of a chain smoking Grinch... More

A basic, bay facing hotel with clean rooms, a bar and breakfast in Corozal. We stayed one night twice. Had nice chats with Gwyn, the hotel manager. Was a good sport when we had a little payment issue and offered us a free night when we were back in the area. We had the bay facing room, which was nice.... More

We stayed one night at the Sea Breeze hotel. Good wifi connection and a very clean, spacious room. Would go there again if in Corozal. Within Walking distance of the arrival deck of the Thunderbolt boat. We also walked to the bus terminal the next day, about 15minutes walk. The owner was a fair guy. He told us it was... More

We were just in Corozal for one night, so didn't get much of a feel for the town. We had a deluxe room, which was comfortable and clean. The whole hotel could use a little updating, but is budget friendly and in a nice location right on the water. As the other reviews mention, the owner is a man of... More
