This hotel is right downtown the restaurant is great for breakfast and lunch the manager Martha is a well known and respected person a wealth of information on the history of San Ignacio.the breakfast menu is great I had French toast with cheese and fresh fruit salad. The waitress are very helpful and kind especially to a senior citizen like me .
I paid 2 nights to stay here and I was having such a great time in San Igancio, i wanted to extend a 3rd night but my card was block by my bank and I ask front desk to please help me holding the room for me as i want to book other night. A lady who seem to me Manager was very rude to me lastnight and this morning. Lastnight when i ask for a favor due to can't access my account she made me feel as if i was begging her for something and told me why don't you to go those tour operator out there who know you to help you. I'm not even from San Igancio. But i guess this is how young Belizean get treated when they want to explore there own country. Other staff were friendly and we some nice conversations but the moments the manager brough her negative energy everyone else reacted like her and followed her footed to bi-little me and told me we Belizean don't know how to travel. I felt offend and disrespect because i work hard as any person in the tourism industry and i try to enjoy my home and be treated like this by your own kinds sadness my heart. Don't let me review make you mad but make you see youth do have right to stand up ourself is we are spening out money. #ProudBelizean…
My daughter and I spent 2 nights at Martha's guesthouse. We were upgraded to the top level which was outfitted with 2 crispy, clean comfy beds and loads of windows for amazing views of the town. The balcony space was definitely a bonus. We had a wonderful time. The house has a rustic elegance about it. Very clean, and the service is exceptional. The breakfast restaurant (which is part of the house & also open to the public) is amazing. We loved our breakfast's there. I'm a big orange pekoe tea fan (travel with my own Tetley Tea bags) and they would boil up fresh water for me every time.
This is a really great place to stay in the heart of San Ignacio! Great food within walking distance. The hotel is spotless!Martha, her husband and the rest of the staff are incredible! Book your tours through them! Request “Fry Jack” and Mario as your guides!
This is a comfortable place to stay and explore the area. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was as interesting as you decided to make it. The Chinese restaurant is really good and the Belizean round the corner delicious. The market was buzzing. We were able to get our laundry done, which was really helpful.
