The folks who run the hotel are overwhelming nice. They have absolutely no control over their next door neighbor's noise and the sound is the loudest that I have ever experienced in my life. Next door is a juke joint that blares loud music all night long. The noise is also overwhelming. At 3 am one morning, from an upper...

Stayed there new years eve and we had a blast. Rosa and her family are great hosts and most helpful. Rooms are basic and clean and you have Internet. Super nice was that the family tries to help you getting settled and comfortable and than getting organized for your travel as much as they can. Looking forward to meet them...

Rosa's Hotel makes you feel as you are home, the staff is very nice and the owner Ms.Rosa is a very kind lady. They offer continental breakfast, loundry services, wifi internet access, tour info. Is the right in heart of San Ignacio, in the evening you can enjoy the sunset and in the morning the sun rised..a place you must...

Had some idea what the descriptions of Belize hotels might mean, but thought that the term "midrange" would just mean: more expensive than my usual budget accommodations. Was pleasantly surprised to find Rosa's family offered a genuinely sincere desire to assist jetlagged, mildly confused wanderers like myself to sort things out --even was offered a late checkout to hide from...

We stayed 2 nights in dec. very clean and basic. Staff were really nice and super helpful. Only downfall is the nightclub next door that insists on pumping out music as loud as they can.

We only stayed for one night here and it was cleanish and the staff were really friendly. The room did look a bit like a prison cell but really just needed a lick of paint. Unfortunately, the bar next to it played music really really loud till god knows when. I know this can't be helped so we didn't complain...

We stayed here for one night; it's a nice hotel and a good deal. We were on the side of the building that was farthest from the nightclub and we didn't have any problems with noise. Also had AC in the room, which gave us a break from the heat. Beds were comfortable and the whole place was very clean....

I really wish we could rate this hotel higher than we have because the staff were so lovely, but the hotel itself is nothing special and you can find nicer places in town for the same money (you just need to walk around when you arrive rather than booking ahead). It seems that most of the cheaper accommodation in San...

Thanks for your compliments.. We do try very hard to accommodate the sensitive needs of all our guests. With regard to the noisy club next door, it certainly is just that. That being said, we are located right in the center of town, and as I have recommended previously, those who want a more natural and peaceful surrounding would be...

Right in the heart of town this is a wonderful little hotel, a great find! It has lots of character, a wonderful upstairs patio with comfortable chairs, tables and cool breeze. It perfect for coming back to after exploring the caves or ruins. We met some interesting people while staying here, lots of fun. Its perfect for the casual traveler...

I had planned to stay just a week and ended up staying longer. The room was comfortable, clean and had a great mattress. There is also free WiFi. Tony was very helpful with information on things to do around the area. The hotel is located close to the bus station and in a location that is near almost everything. I...

“I forget what room number we had, but it was on the 3rd floor. 2 nd floor was the guest desk,/area where you could find a community fridge for keeping your left over food cold, or cold drinks and ice. They also had a locked fridge with all kinds of cold drink, candy bars etc that you could buy foe a small price. The nice thing about this area, they had a wrought iron gate that was locked at 10-11 pm, and someone was in the office 24 hours a day. The 1st floor had a restaurant, which btw, served very good food at a very cheap price. If you stay , check them out, at least once (not a fancy place either). The floor my room was on as I said 3rd floor, getting up the last flight of steps with baggage was tough, the steps are higher than a normal stair, not talking how many steps, "but each step" had to be a foot high, hard on the leg mussels, lol! The woman in charge did help us girls get our luggage up, thank goodness, and got us to our room. We had an inside room, down a long hallway, rooms on both sides, no a/c, 1 window, 2 floor fans, a private bath, with very little room at the small sink, the shower was normal size, but had very little water flow, and yes, hot water too! We had a queen bed, and a single bed, with a TV, which we only watched in the morning, news!I can say our room was the 2nd room down the hall on the right, there was a small hallway by our room which was to the laundry room, we used this as a shortcut to the balcony sitting area. This location was nice for the private hallway, but you could hear the street noise and the washing machines and dryers going when they were doing laundry. The front of the building is a main street, which is one way, up hill. If you were sitting out on the balcony, having breakfast, yes they severed a help yourself breakfast including fresh fruit, toast, jam, peanut butter, eggs ( cook them yourself on a small propane stove top) coffee juice and tea. You mingle with the help and other guest, free wifi is available, and laundry services can be had. The only drawback to Rosa's, is the street, and the bigger trucks trying to make it up the hill, the loudness is almost non stop till late at night, and starts as soon as the sun is up. I would never stay in the rooms up front, the one we passed to our room, had 3 windows, nice, but no ac, so if you decided to take a nap in the afternoon, you'd need to plug your ears, hopefully it will help cut down the noise. Your best bet for a room is 3rd floor, in the back of the building, some rooms have ac, some don't, we chose no ac, didn't think we needed it, but at night, we left our room door open to get some cooler air in the room so our fans had something to circulate. I know that sounds scarey, but we felt comfortable doing this as we were 1 out of the 2 rooms being rented, and we had met the other guest, and knew the downstairs door was locked. I wouldn't recommend this , but only mentioning on how safe we felt at Rosa's. The manager and her help were wonderful, if you needed anything they were quick to help, and fun to chat with, as they made you feel warm and welcome. I'd stay there again if and when I get back there, The up side to the place is your so close to everything, and taking picture's of the whole village can be done from the 3rd floor balcony/veranda. your close to the 2 cab locations, the colectiva cabs for locals, the bullet tree falls cabs that take you up towards the parrots nest lodge, you just have to ask which cab they are, and which route they take.colectiva cabs are the cheapest$1usd, but it's a shared cab, so you aren't always the only passenger. Try the bus service too, we did, and it was awesome, traveling with the locals, music and chatting amongst the passengers makes you feel like you've been riding the bus all your life. All and All, If you choose Rosa's you won't feel disappointed, for the money, your getting a great deal, and remember, this isn't the Hilton!!”
