I wanted to stay at Cahal Pech Village Resort for the view and the pool. I was the only one staying at the hotel for the two nights I booked. It is a good distance from the town and all the locals are very friendly in San Ignacio. I really didn't love my stay here. The view was great, but the service was definitely lacking. I hung out by the amazing pool with a great view of the town and the front desk concierge handed me a pool towel, I opened the towel and it had holes it in. Since I was the only one staying there I felt more like a nuisance than a guest for the few workers there. They said because of COVID it has been hard which I completely understand but I paid to stay there. The view in my room was awesome, but walk to my room there was a large dead beetle that easily could have been cleaned up. So it made me wonder, the last time the place had been swept since they have been so slow. The towels in my room were not soft at all, felt like I was more so exfoliating and not drying my body. The linens were also very rough. I also was told when I arrived that their bar and restaurants are not open during the week and I would have to get any food in the town of San Ignacio. No a huge deal, but I could have been told as the only guest in this hotel for the two nights prior to arriving so I could plan out some places to eat. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again for the price I paid not worth it since the amenities were not great.

This hotel sits high on a hill on the edge of town - the view from our balcony on the third floor was amazing. Beautiful two-level pool. Great service. There is a bakery on-site called Sweet Lemon that sells cake, cookies, brownies, etc. and they are delicious! Great place to stay when you are visiting San Ignacio.

Cahal Pech is a fantastic spot right in the heart of San Ignacio set up on a hill to overlook the town from your personal villa. They are also right next to a Mayan ruin site, and many other significant sites nearby. Before our stay, we reached out to Gerald with some questions and he had many great recomendations for us. Even before we booked with them, we had already felt the great value in choosing this beautiful resort We had nothing, but incredible adventures at this resort and met lots of new friends who we will have in mind for when returning to Belize. The front desk woman, Nubia helped us plan our tours to Mountain Pine Ridge and a day of ziplining and cave tubing. Both days were so much fun and packed with adventure. Drivers Ian and Hubert were awesome and made sure that we were full of knowledge of the area and the history during our tours. Miguel was another staff member that really went above and beyond his job to make our trip special. Thank you sir, you are a good man! I definitely recomemd Cahal Pech for the perfect spot to relax after some amazing new adventures nearby.

We loved our stay at Cahal Pech. Being the only tourists at our time of visiting (soon after the country opened to tourism during COVID) we had a quiet stay but it was lovely. All the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; assisting with other food and activity options while many things are closed in town due to the pandemic. We will absolutely stay with them again!

We managed to get out of NY for a short trip to Belize, they are accepting people from the US. You just need to get tested for covid upon arrival, it's quick and easy. Cahal Pech is named after the archeological ruins which are just a few steps away from the hotel, which was a huge benefit because we were able to walk there and see the ruins without a guide. The hotel grounds are really cute, there are a bunch of bungalows, they have a slightly rustic feel which was very charming. The air conditioning in the room was super powerful and you can cool it down in just a few minutes. There were multiple pools, which had the most beautiful sunset, one of the nicest I have ever seen. The food at the restaurant was great, very satisfying and priced affordably. We felt really blessed to have spent two nights at this resort, we will stay here again the next time we go to Belize.
