We camped in our campervan for 3 nights at Mana-Kai, conveniently located next to the farmers market. Lots of grass and shady spots. It is a great base to explore the surroundings of San Ignacio. We booked the famous ATM tour through them. Awesome.

I stayed here for a week with a friend. Our cabin was clean and homey. The owner/manager, Javier, is great - always concerned about us and helping to arrange activities. The location is just a couple of blocks from the town center and convenient for restaurants and groceries. One of the cabins had AC when we stayed there, but it... More

Great price and location. Got off the bus and walked there in a few min. It has a large lovely garden. In the mornings, if you are lucky, you can see green parrots and toucans! Javier was so helpful. Before my arrival, I asked him some questions over email and he was always prompt in his reply. He organizes great... More

This is the second time we have come to San Ignacio for 3 nights and stayed at Mana-Kai. The location is great, located next to a tasty bakery (The new french bakery) and less than 5 minutes from the bus and the town center. We stayed in the same room both times, it's comfortable, basic and clean. The shower has... More

It's a great campground in the heart of San Ignacio, Belize. Close to everything. We cycled in and it was very easy to find. It is very clean and well cared for. Near the central amrket. You can hang a hammock or put up a tent. It is very noisy however. It's a cross road for trucks coming and going.If... More

Thank you for choosing Mana Kai and we sincerely regret you had an imperfect experience. We appreciate your honesty and only would like to clarify some details about the property. Mana Kai is in the center of San Ignacio and on the main route between the Belize /Guatemala border with only two one-way bridges providing access to and from. And... More

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights in one of Mana-Kai's cabins. Small, clean, quiet and bug free we were super pleased with these accommodations. The best part however was the staff. Javier and his son Fransisco were so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the entire Cayo region. Via their connections we enjoyed top-notch guides to ATM and Tikal.

Javier and his family run a welcoming and lovely compound just seconds from the heart of San Ignacio. There are options to camp on a spacious lot or stay in the cabins with private baths. No hot water but not necessary in that climate I feel. I went for a private cabin and found a clean, well kept room for... More

I was staying for an archaeology program and was surprised by the quality of the rooms. Definitely a step up from staying at a hostel and still super cheap! Private rooms a lot have private baths; no AC but they stay cool enough with just a fan. There is a kitchen area outside but don't depend on it. The hammock... More

We spent 3 nights in one of the 4 cabins that are nicely located close to the city center, the market and the river. There is WI-Fi, hot water and parking for those that travel by car. The area is not swampy as Belize Lonely Planet calls it. It's grassy space with lots of fruit trees. Javier, the owner, likes... More
