The location is in the heart of the town, with shops, restaurants and the farmers market all right there. It is bustling and a bit noisy, but that was fine with us. The room was decent, but the mattress was tired, and no shower curtain resulted in an unnecessarily wet bathroom floor. The price and location made up for those negatives, and joining excursions from here was easy and convenient. Good value for the price, as long as you are realistic about charming old hotels.

This run-down, scruffy, basic, centrally located hotel is reasonably clean and an adequate base for a couple of days in San Ignacio, but no longer. The A/C worked fine, but the drains smelled a little unpleasant. Rooms are small and my mattress was old and squishy.

Stayed at the Venus for 3 nights. Love the location and view of town from the balcony areas. Easy walk to several great restaurants. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Noise travels through the halls so you may hear your neighbors a little, but other than that we slept great. Staff was friendly, felt safe and well cared for.

Top central location in pedestrian only area. Very clean "king" room on 1st floor and excellent daily housekeeping. Staff friendly and helpful Nice to dit on the balcony for people watching. Only negative point: Mattress needs to be replaced.

Nice place in a good location. They offer trips and help with transport too. In fact we got return transport to Belize city at a more economical price than we paid to get there (via Tukan underneath) through reception. We had a delux double room with a nice warm shower and comfy bed. Very clean and well kept. Limited breakfast but for the price (included) it's more than enough. You can get a coffee or tea, piece of fruit and some cereal before you head out.

We stayed for 6 nights here. It was perfect! We've been to San Ignacio 3 times now, and this has been our favorite place to stay. The room, was large and comfortable. Just outside our door was a balcony which we pretty much had to ourselves. The hotel itself backs onto a park, and the front is on a street that is closed to vehicle traffic. So there was a little noise from traffic on the other side of the park, but nothing like other places in town. I loved getting up and having a hot shower (not all hotels have hot water), and wandering around town. I didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast that was offered every day (hubby did), but I would grab a banana on the way out. We really appreciated the cold water cooler that was available to refill our water bottles. Every day that housekeeping came in, they'd leave towel swans on our bed. Such great touches. And the price was incredible! There is parking available if you have a rental, otherwise, you're just steps from an abundance of taxi's or the bus stop.

This hotel is very basic with clean rooms. We had a small room but our friends scored a much bigger one. The wifi worked well. It is very centrally located. They do a basic breakfast if you would like it. There are grocery shops near by as well.

I stayed here for 2 nights and found everything to my satisfaction - there is reliable hot water, wifi in the rooms (mostly worked although it cut out at times), clean room and it was quiet too. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is extremely basic but you can get excellent breakfast for not much next door at D'Stock which is what I recommend.

You cannot beat this location. It is literally located in the middle of the city, where the restaurants and shops are. As well as all of the tour companies that operate around the San Ignacio area. Walk out the front door of the hotel and you are in the middle of the downtown square area. The room was very clean, AC worked great, beds were comfortable, shower had hot water and pressure, wifi worked in the room, tv worked, free water for your water bottles, and the free continental breakfast hit the spot. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. What else do you need? It is priced right and there is also free parking just below the hotel, beside the soccer/football field. Check it out!
