This was the second of our hotel stays in Belize. Once again, we were pleased with our accommodations. The rooms were big and well lit. It did take a while to get warm water, but we were pre-warned. They booked our tours which was very convenient. Our only complaint was the food from the dining room took a while to... More

I've recently returned from leading a high school trip to Belize. One of the three places we stayed was at the Windy Hill Resort in San Ignacio. This was the student's favorite hotel on the entire trip! The cabins were clean and spacious. They were well maintained and quaint. I think the students liked this most because they were living... Windy Hills Resort, only a few minutes from San Ignacio, has small cabins nicely situated over a large hilly acreage. The cabins & grounds are in excellent condition. The infinity edge pool is lovely and is surrounded by comfortable deck furniture. On this day, the pool water was a little cloudy - maybe a maintenace issue? The open air bar... More

Loved this place. It was up on a hill with a beautiful view. It is separated into cottages with one or two rooms. Lots of windows for a great breeze. Dinner was very good at their Black Orchid restaurant. I loved how everything was separated. The bar had TVs, music, a pool table and table tennis. We stayed for two... More

I'm basing my review mostly on the weak WiFi connection at the hotel because I want to hold hotels accountable for this. Too often I encounter pathetically weak WiFi connections at hotels and it's just not acceptable. This is one such hotel. Actually, to tell the truth the connection was good but their internet connection is much too slow. When... More

This is a lovely property and a great place as a jumping off point to visit nearby  Mayan ruins. I had contacted two other properties for services and the reservations agent at Windy Hill, Mr. Elmer Pic, was the most accommodating and easiest to work with.  He wrote “tell me what you want” then designed a package for me that... I stayed three nights, in between tours (not arranged by Windy Hill). Probably the best feature was the friendliness of the staff- not just pro forma smiles and how-are-you, but chatting about your tours, what you intend to do tomorrow etc. I had an air conditioned cabin, which was large and comfortable, although the bed was harder than I like... Our sailing group came to this rainforest lodge after a week of sailing within the reef. We could choose a variety of historical or active activities or stay there and have a relaxing day bird watching, getting a massage or swimming and sitting by the infinity pool. A beautiful place with friendly, helpful staff!

My wife and I booked three nights in a deluxe cabana at the last minute, based on previous tripadvisor ratings. We wanted a place convenient to town and attractions but not too close, and something that offered a nice place to relax after touring. Windy Hill delivered on both counts. Our cabana was near the back of the property, up... More

We really liked this hotel! The location was beautiful, and the hotel area was really nice and pretty. The rooms were big and clean, and the whole area was quiet. The pool area was very nice, and a lovely way to spend a relaxing day The only thing we were not happy with was the restaurant. It is better to... More
