My husband and I stayed at Chaa Creek for 5 nights for the first half of our honeymoon. When we first arrived, we were greeted by the nicest and most welcoming staff. As we sipped on some fresh juice made with local fruit, we were brought to our incredible suite. The view was breathtaking! If possible, we highly recommend staying...

The hotel and the grounds are very nice. Everything is kept in tip top condition. Staff is some of the nicest and most helpful that we have encountered anywhere. Tour guides are excellent. Beware of the cost! Everything here is very expensive and there is a high tax and gratuity added to everything! A trip into town will cost you...

Apart from the fact that the Lodge is well out of town we found everything else excellent. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy all the facilities as time was against us but what we did experience was first class. From what we saw the facilities were not aimed at any one particular demographic but seemed to cater for all...

We stayed 3 nights in the beautiful Chaa Creek. Our room was simple and perfect! The screened in porch was absolutely wonderful and where we sat most of the time. The activities that we participated in were great. The guides all friendly and knowledgeable. The only draw back was dinner. You had to choose from 3 main entrées or you...

If you're looking for luxury in the jungle, Chaa Creek is absolutely the place for you. My husband and I arrived not really knowing what to expect (our travel agent made all our arrangements). When we arrived, a super friendly and professional lady named Jasmine greeted us. We felt so welcome. She gave us a tour and showed us to...

This place was perfect. Each and every staff member went out of their way to be friendly. The lodge organizes all manner of excursions from zip lining, to caving, to canoeing and visiting Mayan ruins, and provides knowledgeable and professional guides. Plus the property the Lodge is located on is itself a nature preserve, so there is so much to...

Exceptional customer service, friendly staff, great food, peaceful, beautiful place overall. We loved getting away for the night. The Treetop room was just what we needed and the outdoor Jacuzzi was refreshing. Highly recommend.

The first half of our honeymoon was spent staying at this fantastic place. The meals were always delicious and offered us a taste of foods we had never tried. You will be right in the jungle with howler monkeys howling away at you. Lots of wildlife and habitats to explore and see. The Lodge offers many activities. We did lots...

We were amazed by the staff's attention to our wishes. They heard we were into birding & made sure our Maya Ruins trip guide was a master birder. The property was so beautiful and serene. Fantastic!!!

“We stayed at the Macal River Camp. All cabins were equal as far as I could see.”

“The only caveat I'll add to the resort was the location of the spa villa. It's located on a significant hill and you have to hike to and from breakfast / dinner. It's definitely a glute-buster and not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. The path is also pretty dark at night, although there is some lighting.”
