We spent 2 nights at the tree top house at cavesbranch. The staff were so friendly. The place is so beautiful. We got to see some howler monkeys right from our room. The food is the best I've had at any other resort I've visited! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Property's Favorite Review
We spent 3 great nights at the Caves Branch Adventure Lodge. Our stay in the double bedroom riverview treehouse was pure luxury, carefully embedded in the jungle setting. Every convenience, from air-conditioning right above our beds to timely laundry services, assured us that this place truly understands luxury. The views from the upper floor with its outdoor hot tub were incredible. The double bedroom treehouse comes with two double beds and a bunk bed, so comfortably sleeps 6. While the lodge's lovely swimming pool and table tennis facility were much appreciated, the real highlight for our kids was the jungle river. Its current offered a unique experience right in front of the lodge and we really enjoyed floating downstream, surrounded by jungle. My partner and I enjoyed walking through the botanical garden on-site, which was neatly labelled so we could learn more about many of the tropical plants at the lodge. Our days were filled with adventure, thanks to the offerings of the lodge. The cave tubing experience was nothing short of magical. Journeying deep into the Footprint Cave with the well-prepared guides from Caves Branch, we witnessed remarkable Mayan relics and navigated through inky darkness. Once we got deep into the caves, we all floated in the water and turned off our lights. I don't think I've ever experienced anything as pitch black before as that cave. The thoughtfully organised cavern picnic was a delicious bonus and I really appreciated the guides bringing all that food with them. Our last full day was packed with adrenaline - waterfall jumping and horse riding. The Caves Branch team meticulously organised the waterfall activity, guiding my partner and eldest son through the jungle to the waterfalls. Climbing and jumping off them into the pools below was an exhilarating experience. The horse riding at nearby Green Acres Ranch offered a different kind of thrill, letting us explore the jungle and river terrains on horseback, led by the friendly and helpful ranch owner. Though the food at the lodge was tasty, we felt it leaned heavily towards catering to US tastes. Dining was quite the event - every evening, in a communal setting, the menu was loudly announced by a member of staff, and guests would line up for their meals. It did, however, offer the fun experience of mingling with different families each night. A special mention has to go to the outdoor showers attached to each lodge. There's something magical about showering in the open, especially when you have a curious howler monkey observing from the trees! It's an experience I'm unlikely to forget. All in all, Caves Branch Adventure Lodge promises an exciting mix of luxury and adventure. It's a memorable place to stay, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone heading to Belize.

This place was amazing. My husband and I had so much fun. The excursions were incredible. I have Celiac disease and eating is scary when I am travelling. The staff were fantastic. They checked with me every day to tell me what food is safe for me. The food was delicious. I can’t say enough positive about this place. I highly recommend it to all my friends.

Omg I wish I had discovered this resort years ago!! Loved the sleeping in the treehouses! Hearing all the jungle noises; frogs, birds, bugs, howling monkeys! The staff is wonderful! We felt very well taken care of. All the outings that CB provides are well done. The people that work at CB seem to be well trained and well taken care of.

Caves Branch was AMAZING. I have stayed many places, in many countries, and can say this was the most enjoyable experience I’ve had yet. From the moment they picked us up from the airport, to dropping us off at our beach destination, the staff, food, lodging and guided adventures were 100% above and beyond. My husband and I absolutely cannot wait to go back, and were truly sad to leave!

Came here with our 4 children fir 4 nights on the all inclusive package. It was an easy drive from Belize city via the zoo. This place is just lovely. The treehouse was perfect with an incredible view. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails and the pool was a lot of fun. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and we saw snakes and monkey and huge iguanas in the trees. We did the ATM cave, a day trio to Tikal and another cave tube trip. The first 2 were just brilliant, well run and fun. The third we only did because I knew I would chicken out of the abseiling one but we thought we might be a bit caved out after ATM. It was a totally different experience however-fun, informative exciting and relaxing all in one trip. We loved ATM but as a family this felt like a real highlight of our holiday actually. Shout out to Thomas who took care of us at mealtimes. My only problem with this stay was the snakes in jars. But my kids loved them!

We loved this hotel! Our treetop villa was spacious and comfortable. We loved the open air villa, the outdoor shower and the bunk beds for the kids. The views were gorgeous and the jungle sounds at night were amazing. The food was good. Dinner offered plenty of options. There was something for everyone and we loved meeting the other guests at dinner time and comparing our days. The kids also loved the chicken tenders and ceviche as an afternoon snacks. Mocktails in the jacuzzi were a highlight after a long day of adventuring in the jungle. The breakfast was perfect to fuel us for a long day. No espresso machine, but the coffee was delicious. Lunches on the excursions were the same everyday, and were perfect for the occasion. Tortillas filled to your liking with cheese, meet and veggies. The best part of this lodge were the staff and the adventures. We participated in their three signature adventures: Cave Expeditions (tubing and cave exploring), The Black Hole, and Waterfall Cave Expedition. I highly recommend all three. The waterfalls were intense and our 10 year old needed to be approved after completing two other expeditions. It was our favorite day! Our guides were amazing! Knowledgeable, passionate, well spoken, interesting, and above all very mindful of our safety.

We very much enjoyed our experience at caves branch. This place was highly recommended in some of my travel groups Pros 1. They offer multiple activities. The best part is that you do not need to book yourself into an activity ahead of time. You can decide what you want to do the next day at dinner the previous night. The advantage of this is if you are tired you can modify plans. Also if you have multiple age groups eg a teen, 8 year old in your group you can mix and match by sending the more adventurous people to some high octane adventures and take the less adventurous to other activities 2. The tour guides are very well trained and this was the part that impressed me the most. They take a lot of care to ensure you are safe. The ratio of tour guides to attendees is nice and appropriate. Even though these are all group tours usually you do not end up with more than two or three families because the number of people staying in the resort is around 25 families (25 cabanas/tree houses). 3. The food options are decent. Breakfast is the usual spread you will find in most places and they bake their own bread which is excellent. Most people are not around for lunch. Supper is usually served as three courses with the third course being desert, the second course being if you meat heavy dishes, the first course being a mix of soup and salads. You will not get much by the way of belizian dishes. If you are a vegetarian options will be a little more limited. My husband does not eat any meat but he loved there quesadilla and kept ordering that every day for three days in a row. Also if you are a fancy coffee lover example cappuccino or some such frothy concoction do not expect fancy coffee But overall the options are plentiful and are meant to give people multiple options. 4. There is a snack bar where they make four or five snacks for people returning from the tours 5. There is no wi-fi in the rooms. I'm putting that in the advantage category as of now. This will differ from person to person. The concept of this resort is very different. They try to make the dinners a family buffet style and they change up the seating arrangements daily so that you get to meet different people. The wi-fi is only around the dining area and pool. So you have everybody hitting that spot between 2:30 pm till around 5:00 pm. This forces you to mingle with other travelers which was actually a very good experience. Kids in particular will love that. My son really enjoyed this aspect. He got to meet a couple of 8 year olds with whom he spent all day. We had the other 8 year old showing up bright and early in the morning at our cabana couple of days so he and my son could play. If you need your wi-fi at the end of the day this may not be the best place This vision is also the same for the group tours. The number of families you go with is small so you end up getting to know others Cons (maybe) 1. BUGS!!! oh my god the bug bites. we got bitten despite spraying bug spray religiously. Carry industrial strength bug spray and creams 2. See comment about wi-fi above. Vacation is about unwinding so I do not think this is a negative 3. The comment about vegetarian food above 4. Make sure you read about the activity options before you go. In my opinion I do not think this is a place for very little kids. I think it is best for kids at least seven years or eight years and older. I did not see any child younger than five. That was the youngest child I saw there. Be aware that kids eight years and younger would have fewer activity options. This is something I already was aware of based on the description on my travel groups. We had a great experience because I got exactly what I expected . you will still have a few options for kids who are say five years or six years old. Just be aware of this

What an excellent location with friendly staff and amazing food! Oh, and the excursions are mind blowing. We did the Black Hole 300' rappel and the Waterful Cave. Both exhilarating and fun in their own ways. (You need to be in pretty good shape to enjoy the hikes.) We had a blast! The guides couldn't have been better.

This was our second time staying at Ian Anderson's Caves Branch Lodge. It is an absolutely stunning facility. The pool is spectacular, as is the scenery. We stayed in a jungle suite, which was perfect for us (with two teenagers). The view is stunning. The screened in rooms help immerse you in the jungle, but keep the bugs at bay. The roof top bath tub is fun. The food is delicious - we ate way too much! The staff is friendly, helpful and go above and beyond.
