I stayed at Pook's Hill for two nights with my adult son and daughter and daughter's boyfriend. It is a magical place with plenty of wildlife and beautiful trails. The red cliffs along the river are gorgeous, and it's a great spot to swim. Pook's is the best location if you plan to do the ATM Cave. After travelling over...

We spent 3 delightful nights at Pooks Hill in April. You really feel as if you have left the world behind. It is small enough (max. capacity around 25 guests) to be have a very personal feel, yet designed to give you as much privacy as you want. The free standing individual cabanas are spacious and tastefully furnished. The central...

Like many other reviews I have read it really is hard to truly describe our experience at Pooks Hill. Simply fantastic!! Mike met us at the airport (there were 7 of us ranging in age from 62 to 25) and took us back to the lodge and spent the whole time answering our questions about the country and it's people....

I cannot recommend Pook's Hill highly enough, and no description will really capture our experience. You simply have to go there yourself. Cat and Dave are so welcoming and treat you like family. The lodging itself is lovely (if simple) and clean. The site is miraculous. The experiences are life-changing. And the food...oh, the food. Simply put, it's absolutely delicious....

Stayed at Pook's Hill in April 2012 for 4 nights. The property has about 300 private acres with trails running all over the jungle and along a stream. The water needs to be up for tubing but there is always a swimming hole where two streams come together. Wildlife is everywhere but it takes some careful and patient looking to...

Our family (3 adults and 3 kids 14, 13, 10) recently stayed at Pook's Hill and couldn't have been more thrilled! We landed in Belize on Holy Thursday and after picking up our rental car, made our way to Pook's Hill. My husband and I are Emerging Market travelers, so driving ourselves around has never been an issue and we...

Each Cabana had a resident gecko, which controlled the few bugs that there were. I followed around Basilisk’s (Lizards that run on water), saw so many birds that I had never seen outside of a pet store. The guides were professional and very knowledgeable on a huge number of subjects. The guides knew everything from how power is generated to...

We loved staying at Pook's Hill- it has a real community feeling and is great for bird watching, night bug watching, bat observation and jungle walks as well as tubing down the river and enjoying the swimming hole. Our cabana was comfortable while also rustic. It had all we needed and was a green environment to boot. The group meals...

Pook's Hill is on a beautiful remote section of Jungle with great hiking trails, bird watching, and river tubing right on site. The Cabanas are built with traditional methods of thatched roof and open air design. The rooms are simple and a bit rustic but that is what we were looking for. The food was amazing, and they give you...

In March, 2012 I stayed at Pook's Hill for the first time. I was impressed with property in every way. The location is accessible but remote and borders excellent wildlife habitat. The managers, David and Cat, are very knowledgeable in all aspects of natural history of the area. The cabanas are fantastic - I first wondered "where is the shower?"...
