Having never been to Belize, we didn't know what to expect. We decided to stay away from the beach resorts and selected the Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge due to its location in relation to the activities that we wanted to do. The Sleeping Giant Rainforest...More
We had an amazing four day stay at the Sleeping Giant Lodge with our two children aged four and five. They were too little to do a lot of the activities off site, but we had a wonderful time without ever leaving the resort! We...More
We were driving south from Corozal to Placencia and I didn't fancy doing the whole trip in a day. The night before we left I found a last-minute special for 2 nights at the Sleeping Giant resort, in a "mountain view room" which looked incredible...More

You are perfectly right about the weather in July. Since we are in the wet season, we do have unpredictable sporadic showers during the season. However, these do not last for a long time. On site, we do our very best to make the necessary arrangements with our guests as it relates to booked excursions.
Since we are very much aware of the mosquito concern during this time, we have planted Citronella and lemon Grass around the property that acts as natural repellent but DEET does work very well as added protection. We most certainly anticipate your stay with us. Do feel free to contact us at any given time if you should have any other question or require additional information.

Hello! You will really enjoy your trip, it's amazing! There are no required vaccines to enter Belize, but everything I read said that it's a good idea to get typhoid and hepatitis vaccines updated just in case. That being said I don't think there is anything about this resort that would put you at risk if you decided not to get the vaccines.
