The Sleeping Giant was the first resort we visited (out of two) during our stay in Belize and it was absolutely amazing! The first thing people said to us was "welcome home," and they did their best to make it feel that way. We had reserved a standard garden room but Amalia C. upgraded us to what I can only... More

Sonia and I spent four nights at Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge, 16 miles south of Belmopan. After our four-night stay was up, we didn't want to leave! Our room on the side of a mountain was spectacular, with panoramic views and a spacious terrace with jacuzzi and private dipping pool - well worth the many steps up from the handsome... More

My husband and I stayed in casita 8 - it was beautiful. The food is delicious, we loved everything - prices are pretty standard for good food - very fresh with a good number of options . The setting is private and gorgeous. Very low key, but fun tours available nearby.

Whatever I write here, the words will not do the Sleeping Giant Lodge justice. My wife and I stayed here in January 2016 as part of honeymoon in Belize. We chose Sleeping Giant based upon the excellent reviews we read here on Trip Advisor. Because of this, we had high expectations for this resort. To say our expectations were blown... More

We had a great stay....road leading to resort is very rough, but once you get there it is worth it. Going to the pool and hot tub area, it is like you are the only one there. We had the pool to ourselves 3 out of 4 times we used it. There are 9 Casitas and we rarely saw any... More

I can't say enough great things about Sleeping Giant Lodge. My husband and I got the adventure package and stayed in Casita 7 for four nights. We highly recommend the adventure package because you get to chose three tours during you stay, such as cave tubing, zip lining, visiting Mayan ruins, and much more. I also really liked Casita 7... I am not a bug person but wanted a jungle experience - sleeping giant was perfect for me. The rooms were incredibly clean, spacious, and comfortable. You get the full experience of sleeping in the jungle with the bonus of hot water, electricity, and AC as needed. I would recommend anyone to stay here. The views are incredible, friendly staff,... We took 12 students to Sleeping Giant as part of a one-week college course on tropical ecology. The facilities were perfect and the central location in Belize made it easy to get to Mayan ruins, caves, the Belize Zoo and iguana/monkey conservation areas. Not only that, but Sleeping Giant has on staff some of the best guides in the business.... More

If you want paradise, luxury, modern conveniences, consider renting their brand new rooms situated on a slope overlooking mountain ranges, shrubs of lush green and vibrant colors, rushing streams, complimentary kayak on a river on the property. Your own mini private pool in addition to a jacuzzi, hammock. The list goes on and on. I cannot say enough good things... More

I have been leading student groups to Central America / the Caribbean for over 13 years and have found Belize & Sleeping Giant to be the best location for hosting educational groups. There is no shortage of educational activities available in Belize. With English the official language, it makes it easy for students to have rich cultural experience. Sleeping Giant... More
