We booked the Chateau for our upcoming trip to Belize City, but sadly it burned down before we got there. Given its location and architectural style, I am sure it would have been a great stay. When we got to Belize City, I wanted to see what was left of it after the fire - not much, as you can...

We absolutely loved the Chateau and are so saddened to learn it burned down. We stayed in room 303 which was probably the Governors bedroom when it was his mansion. Fantastic if you like historic hotels.

Please be advised that the hotel burned to the ground this past Saturday morning, November 27, 2016. The fire began in the hotel's second floor kitchen. Multiple Belizean news outlets report that the fire consumed the whole building before the Fire Department had it fully extinguished, about 12 hours later. The hotel management tells me by email that they're out...

The hotel fit our budget perfectly. Had a great view of the ocean. Clean room, lovely restaurant. Although not the newest hotel perfectly adequate for a stay. The safe in our room didn't work but that was my only complaint.

I spent 2 nights here and I think I was one of only 2-3 guests in the hotel. Room was clean and staff was friendly, just on the older side. Would probably look at the Radison next door for my next trip.

We spend one night, before flying out the next day. We wanted a good value decent hotel within walking distance of the water taxis to visit the islands. This hotel wasthe right place for us. The room was big, but very outdated and dusty. The bathroom was clean and the bed was decent for the one night. The staff was...

So I learned that the islands are the tourist destination and not Belize City. However, I stayed overnight here waiting to fly out to the airport. If you are there for a day, this is a great selection. The rooms are big, but the building is old so some features might be wonky, such as the air conditioning being good...

While the hotel itself is a little out dated, my room was clean and quiet. The restaurant food was decent. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is close to the ferry, but not much to do around the hotel. Overall I had a good stay.

This was close to roughing it for my wife. We got a great last minute reservation and price when our travel plans moved up. $100 here vs $250 next door at the Radisson. It is a ramshackle old wooden building. Marginal air conditioning, if needed. Nice staff. We spent the afternoon next door at the Radisson pool and ate there...

I, like most of you, base a lot of my opinion based on reviews that I read. After going through the VERY mixed reviews of CC, my buddy and I went in not knowing what to expect. What we got was a pleasant surprise. While I would never compare our experience to that of a 5-star resort, that isn't what...
