Just left the resort today. Second time there in four years. My wife and I find it really relaxing and enjoyable. The work that has been done there in the last 4 years is incredible. Great improvements. And by the sounds of the work that is coming in the next few years it is going to make this place a...

The rooms were nice and priced right. We did not have hot water in our room, but maybe it was a mistake or I overlooked how to turn it on, not sure it was to early in the AM for us to bother good Dr. Young to wake him. The rooms really are very nice. We loved the construction and...

We stayed for three nights at the nature resort and did a bunch of different activities offered. The meals were great and there is a small store within walking distance for snacks and drinks. Roy was very accommodating to what we wanted to do and when and also helped us get there from the airport and took us to our...

We spent 9 days at the Nature Resort, which was about right as there are very many places to see only a couple of hours away and the cabanas are very nice and quiet at night (except for the howler monkeys and the birds, that is!). Roy provided us with excellent and very abundant food, his wife prepared the most...

We had a great time at the nature resort! The place is beautiful and so peaceful . The room was very clean and comfy, there was a fridge and a microwave and hammocks on the deck. We did a tour on the river and our guide was very informative and fun. We also took some lazy walks up and down...

Roy greeted us on arrival & gave us a tour of the grounds, including tips to look for the howler monkeys. The private cabins were very comfortable with soft sheets and nice hot showers. Horses roam free on the property. And our host, Roy, cooked fantastic breakfast & dinner. We look forward to staying here again.

If you are looking for a comfortable place off the beaten path, the Nature resort is it. The down to earth owner, Mr. Young is continuously making improvements to his resort. The food prepared by a lady in the village is fantastic. The resort is in the middle of the howler monkey preserve and you can hear these monkeys each...

The cabanas are great and are located in a beautiful garden. The walk to the howler monkeys only takes a few minutes. The only drawbck is the owner... He is very friendly, but not wel organised. For instance, the fuses in our cabana were off... We ordered breakfast and dinner and both were fine for a good price!

Great setting. Accommodations were simple, clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a good central place to stay for wilderness tours --this could be it. However! The lack of communication caused great angst for me. Upon initial contact when I requested info about airport shuttle, tours and meals - responses were very vague in detail. It took several emails...

We were at The Nature Resort in early January 2016. It will be a gems once construction is finished ( anticipated by end of Jan, early Feb 2016). It's just down the road from The Howler Monkey Resort, but we felt it had a more open and welcoming vibe. We stayed in a spic and span clean double bungalow (on...
