(+) Basic place without expected bay view but with an AC. To be honest, you can see the sea but I would not call it close to the shore. Personnel is helpful but did not keep their promise to order a taxi for us, so we had to leave at 7 a.m. and find it ourselves. (-) My wife was very afraid of Belize city and did not want to leave the room because her first impression was the check-in via a small window behind a cage. The guesthouse is located further north than it is shown on the map. For a taxi from the bus station you pay 10 BLZ. Pillows are covered in plastic, so you can hear it rustling. Wi fi is very weak in room 5. It has a weak signal on the second floor in general. A neighboring place is even more weird - dirty yard, barking dogs, strange people.
Dirty walls, dirty sheets, dirty pillowcases, and dirty towel (there was a pube on my "fresh" towel). And incredibly, it's not cheap! No one should ever stay here - the place is disgusting and should be razed to the ground. You would do better to sleep in the street.
very basic are the words I'd best describe this 'guest house' to not sound rude. I think this is more like a very basic hostel than anything else (I've seen better hostels than this guest house). The size of the rooms are so small that if luggage can fit, you are lucky. The quality of the shared bathrooms are way beyond disgusting with tissue thrown everywhere and bad smells. The location is good and yes, you get what you pay for, but in my opinion, if they invested in cleaner rooms and a bit of better quality of facilities at least and would charge a little bit more, people would not mind paying the extra because its location is good. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless these people at least try to better their standards! I bet they themselves wouldn't stay at one of their own rooms if given the option.…
We stood one night in this guesthouse and our celphone and a wallet were stolen there when we were out during the afternoon. The family from Taiwan is the owner but doesn't live there. It was full of young people inside the house selling drugs and smoking marihuana, and it was very noisy at night because these people rent some rooms per month in the guesthouse! It was not very clean either.
Your welcome to this dump is an unfriendly receptionist in a dingy office and a pile of garbage invested by giant rats (counted at least 6). Clearly garbage has accumulated over months evidenced by the height, odor and rats. Room 8 was no better than the welcome area.A DIRTY shower stall and shower curtain ensured that i did not bathe that night. I felt cleaner not bathing than bathing in a shower so dirty. The room was musty and stank, I had to ask reception for a can of air freshener to tolerate the stench in the room (by the way, they had to go get one since they had none). Would not recommend to my worst enemy to use their kitchen (unless you would like to try your hand at Leptospirosis). Can't believe this place is still functioning. I felt compelled to review this dump so that other unsuspecting users are not fooled by the decent looking pictures. Also put my raincoat over the pillow since i wanted no part of their sheets to touch my skin. Fortunately I was bailed out by a friend so although i paid 42.5 usd for the night, i did not spend the night. I check out in the middle of the night and vowed to never return. BLACKLISTED!!!…
