We stayed at calypso for a week in August, just after the hurricane passed right over the atoll. We took the boat out with the crew to discover how well the place fared, which was a bit of a risk. It was generally fine, some shutter damage, but a lot of debris washed up on the beaches which is still...

We must had been one of the first customers in this lodge. Brand new at that time. A secluded beautiful island, off the beaten track, certainly for people who appreciate calmness. I spent a week on Long Caye, relaxing at the Calypso while my husband went on multiple dives nearby. I loved the quiet and the solitude. The Calypso's crow's nest is the most beautiful spot on the entire island. I watched the sun rise, swung in the hammock, read entire books while listening to the waves and the breeze through...

We went trough some negative views about the Calypso beach resort, WE CONFIRM ... We had been there in 2005, it was quite expensive (even more now), Jennifer (the housekeeper) was lazy, the diving stuff of poor quality and the most important : THERE IS NO SINGLE BEACH TO LIE DOWN OR SWIM.
