We have been lucky enough to travel to over 18 islands in the Caribbean and this trip to Manta was one of the best trips we have ever had! It is incredible that you have so many luxuries so far away from the mainland and isolated on Glovers Atoll. The travel to get to Manta is long but totally worth it! The cabanas are large and spacious with great AC, double vanity sinks, walk in shower, small walk in closet with a safe and a nice wrap around porch. There is a hammock, day bed and loungers for each individual cabana. The entire island was fully booked when we were there yet there were times we felt like we had the entire island to ourselves. The food, snorkeling trips (incredible sea life!) and massages were fantastic! 3 meals a day plus mid day bars snacks made sure we were never hungry. The cocktails are all made with fresh fruit and some of the best we have had anywhere. Each one is hand crafted and made with love versus premixed drinks (THANKS to Chema, Mike and Mitch!) Also a huge shout out to Leo, Greg, Tristan, Yanni, Jeffery, Mel, Charles and the entire behind the scenes staff for making such a memorable vacation for us!

Manta Island is an undiscovered treasure.....from the exotic beauty of the island to the kind, attentive staff. We grew very fond of Axel and Isabel who made sure that every detail was beautifully tended. And the food. WOW!! Chef Louis is a world class chef making every meal an experience to be remembered. Franklin, Omar and Isien gave excellent service for the bar and dining. Dennis runs the water sports (sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and catching bonefish from the beach!!) and is quite possibly the happiest person we've ever met. And for heading out on their boats for diving, snorkeling and fishing, Abi and Norland gave us thrilling adventures. The diving certainly rivals the Great Barrier Reef. We challenge anyone to think of a question that Norland can't answer related to sea life or oceanography in general. He's a wealth of knowledge! Taryn was just awesome in handling our reservation details. We loved the staff as much as the incredible experience at this stunning resort. And by the way, the sheets are to die for!!

Manta Island Resort is the latest offering in exclusive island getaways that started with the extremely highly rated Coco Plum Island resort where we have previously stayed. The resorts share some things in common and one of the clearest examples of this is the dedication to truly excellent service. In fact, we knew a couple of staff members that we met at Coco Plum that we had met on a previous stay there. We cannot say enough about the attentiveness and quality of service. It is especially remarkable considering that the resort only recently opened yet the staff is already well polished and attentive going to great lengths to make sure your stay is trouble free. The cabanas are all newly constructed and offer plenty of privacy, lots of room and are very nicely appointed. Our cabana was just a few feet from the beach with a lovely view of the beach and barrier reef. The food choices were excellent and we were treated to an expertly prepared dinner featuring a fish that we caught on a fishing trip earlier that day. If your desire is to find an island getaway that will make you feel like a castaway with superb room service this is what you are looking for. If there are any drawbacks they are very minor. The ride out to the island takes around 45 minutes from Coco Plum and can be a bit rough depending on the weather as ours was. For now, Coco Plum is a bit better at insect control. There are a few minor touches to be added as there was not a rinse off shower yet for the salt water pool but the pool is beautiful as is the restaurant and bar facilities. If you can believe it, the buildings are so separated it feels almost like they are too spaced out. With the outstanding and well trained staff there is no doubt that this venue will on many people’s wish list. In short, it is an even more remote and private getaway that keeps the standards set by Coco Plum fully intact. We are very happy to have taken our time to make the trip.

We visited Manta Resort two times along with groups of friends and families, so it made our vacation on the island both times a fun and memorable stay! It is definitely an all inclusive Paradise on the Glovers Atoll within the beautiful jewel of Belize!! The view of the amazing hues of blue from the Caribbean sea around the island is amazing and just breathtaking!!.
Upon arrival to the dock, the captains and sidemen were very helpful with our personal belongings. When we arrived to the island, we were warmly greeted by the Island's amazing managers, Axel & Isabel along with their staff who briefed us on all the necessary covid protocols & information. From we stepped foot onto the beautiful and serene island, we felt like we were in paradise.
Manta has a long stretch of clean, white sandy beach along with beautiful and shallow areas to swim, plus a great infinity pool facing the sea. The food and drinks were excellent and we quickly felt a part of the Manta family hosted by our bartender Franklin and his staff Omar and Issenie along with Chef Luis and Fred who prepared our delicious meals everyday. The service from the managers and staff were top notch and they certainly did their best to accommodate all our wishes and requests.
We were able to make endless memories of laughter and fun, playing beach games, kayaking, snorkling, fishing, the kids paddle boarding and swimming all day & just being carefree & relaxed made us totally enjoy every minute of our stay.
The highlight of each trip was also having fun & competitive volleyball matches against the staff! Isabel even made it more special helping to set up for birthdays we celebrated in the group each time. Kudos to all of the amazing Manta staff who made our island experience an amazing time that we never want to leave!!
The cabanas were spacious and well kept and the beds & accommodations were very comfortable. My only critique would be the boat ride to the island can be on a bigger and more comfy boat due to the hour and 15 mins ride across the open blue seas to the island. However, I must add on our recent 2nd trip, we were very lucky on our way back from the island, we got to see an amazing close up view of a school of dolphins swimming!! Our captain was so nice to stop and let us take videos and pictures of the beautiful dolphins!!
Overall, I rate Manta Island Resort 10 out of 10 for an excellent getaway and can't wait until we can all return another time in the future!!!

The best word to sum up my stay at Manta is AMAZING! Honestly, I was in awe from I spotted the island and then when I stepped foot on the island, I was amazed! From the white sandy, clean beach, to the cheerful staff... I was feeling the magic of this property. I enjoyed every part of my stay with my son and wife. We walked on the beach, relaxed poolside in the daybeds, ate delicious meals at the restaurant and indulged in a several drinks from the bar as well. The Manta Sting was our favorite. Our beachfront cabana was exactly that and with the futon added for my son, we had extra space in our bed. Choosing this private island location was easy for us because we enjoy being away from the crowds and we love the pristine Glover’s Atoll area. Plus being on an all inclusive vacation just makes like so much easier. I really don’t have to think twice about returning, I definitely will, just need to find my next free date to travel again. Thanks to all the staff from this magical property! We will be back soon!

Fabulous vacation from start to finish & wished it never had to finish! Every single aspect of this pristine locally owned and operated island and its’ staff was perfection! Visited with family and stayed in an amazing 2 bedroom villa that was so tastefully furnished & decorated while overlooking the barrier reef & Caribbean Sea. That alone took our breaths away and we all had the best sleeps in a while! We also had a great transfer to & from the island and although it was fully booked when we arrived, we often felt as if we had the private island all to ourselves.
The management Axel & Isabel were so welcoming and courteous, always on their top game and ready to meet every request. We had family members who only spoke Spanish and they were easily accommodated throughout the stay and were so impressed by the high level of hospitality shown at Manta. Each employee was a joy to deal with & really made our stay comfortable and fun. We enjoyed the food options, many including fresh caught seafood and the crafted drinks by bartender Chema topped it all off! At the end of our stay the head chef as well as the pastry chef both came out to greet us and ensure all was good. Everyone always had the biggest smiles on their faces and you can truly tell they take great pride and show passion for what they do.
The rooms & resort grounds are also very well kept around the clock and the beachfront is the most beautiful I’ve seen in Belize (no sargassum). It was so calm, crystal clear & relaxing, all I needed was a sun hat & a drink in hand! In the evenings the sunsets from the pool deck wowed us every time and the view would make a post card jealous.
Last but not least, while we were there we had the most unique tour-island hopping, excellent snorkeling and our favorite, a picnic set up on a small sand bar with a fun crew and yummy snacks and drinks in tow. What more could we ask for in a vacation. Our only regret was leaving but we made sure to grab some nice manta souvenirs to take with us! A big thank you Manta & staff, we’ll see you very soon and if you’re reading then you def should too! :-)

From the moment we stepped out of Dangriga Airport in Belize, we were catered to non-stop. The boat ride to the island was a little bumpy, but they can't change the ocean. We were greeted at the Manta Island dock with tropical cocktails and herbal scented washcloths to refresh ourselves from a long day of travel. That was followed by a tour by the island manager and we were shown to our cabana. The excellent service at Manta Island Resort makes the whole vacation! The beautiful ocean views, beaches, infinity pool, included snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, island hopping tour, and all inclusive local alcoholic beverages and Belizean food provided unparalleled value. I have stayed at many all inclusive resorts and this resort by far is the best all inclusive resort that I have ever stayed at. This year my daughter and I went to celebrate her birthday and I have already booked a return stay next year for myself and my husband.
The food and drinks were fantastic. All food is freshly prepared by the chef at each meal. The service was exceptional and way above any other all inclusive resort I have stayed at! The cabana was beautiful, bed was comfortable, beautiful view from the room, expresso machine and beers and soda in the fridge, room was impeccably clean. You can snorkel, kayak,paddle board or hobie cat right off the island. The stars are amazing at night as there is no light pollution. Everyone goes out of there way to make sure that you have anything you want or need.
Our trip was awesome from the moment and were greeted with frozen drinks. We were sad to leave!
This is the place for you if you want to just chill out and read a book on a hammock or beach chair with unlimited drinks and delicious food. The resort has unlimited snorkeling kayaking and paddle boarding. There are many beautiful patch reefs located right off the island that are accessible right off the island. I am a newly certified scuba diver and the diving there was phenomenal!
Thank you to Taryn for all your help answering my questions while booking. Thank you Axel and Franklin for your exceptional attention to detail by accommodating my dives and arranging my daughter’s birthday celebration. She was so surprised when she had the birthday cake the last night and everyone was singing and even more surprised when she returned to the room and the room was decorated!
Thank you to Isabell in the front office for being so helpful with the selection of swim shirts and T-shirts, you are so thoughtful and kind. Thank you Kendall, Jessica and Amelia for exceptional service while dining. Thank you Rose for the impeccably clean room. Shout out to Chef Joe I wish I could have you as my chef back home! Shout out to Bartender Jose for the amazing drinks. Thank you Ebony my daughter loved the massage! Thank you to Dennis for taking me out on the kayak and showing me all the fish on the reef. Thank you also for carrying a paddle board right to our cabana and showing my daughter where to enter the water with the paddle board… that was so kind of you. Thank you to Yoneky for the 5 amazing dives, thanks for the help with my gear, helping me improve my diving skills and most off all for guiding me through the amazing reefs located right off the island. The dives were fantastic! Thank you as well to Cesar who drove the boat and grabbing my scuba gear when we surfaced after each dive!

My husband and I visited Manta to celebrate our 10th anniversary and we loved every minute! It was special for us to be treated like royalty for the week! The cabana had consistent hot/cold water, AC, electricity, and wifi. These are not to be taken for granted on an island as remote as Manta! The food was delicious- we were NEVER hungry. I am going to miss getting a dessert at every meal! My husband has some dietary restrictions (keeps kosher), and the staff went out of their way to figure out dishes that would work for him. Our room was cleaned/tidied twice a day. We kayaked and snorkelled at least once a day right off the island- so many fish to see! The guided snorkel trips were also amazing and we loved the "island hopping" boat trip. Great vacation! Bring plenty of "reef safe" sunscreen- we want to be able to come back and see the same beautiful reef 10 years from now for our 20th :)

I'm not sure where to start. The island is so small that you can see water on both sides no matter where you stand. There's plenty to keep you busy - snorkeling in beautiful reefs, kayaking, fishing, and pool, but my favorite activity was sitting under our favorite palm tree on the water and reading/relaxing/dozing. Meal times are during set time windows, but you will never be hungry, and nearly every dish was fresh and perfect. Another favorite were the drinks created by the bartender Chema (see pic). The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. Manta is so perfect that we joked about writing a bad review to keep it a secret to make sure it's not booked when we want to return! LOL

Very good. They will also take you out a short distance from shore where the snorkeling is also very good. (There are also snorkel trips you can take. One or two come with everything.
It's the furthest thing from a cookie cutter all inclusive. 30 people Max, pure isolation, no wait for any of the kayaks, paddle boards etc. Basically private scuba diving. And best of all nearly personalized service, with fresh fruit crafted cocktails (even smoked rum old fashioneds). And superb, never repeated food. Don't hesitate.
There are more places to choose from in the Glovers Reef Atoll area.
