My friend and I stayed at OASI apartment #4 for 5 nights the end of August 2019. From the moment we stepped off the ferry dock Luciana was making sure we were taken care of. Unexpectedly a golf cart taxi driver was there to meet us. He knew my name and took us to OASI all while giving us the rundown of Key Caulker town, pointing out places of interest, naming streets, etc. It was a nice start to our visit! We drove south for a while and I started worrying we were far out in the boonies. What I later learned is that we were on the peaceful end of the island. The further north you go the busier and rowdier it gets! The compound is very nice with lots of trees and manicured vegetation. Palms, orchids, flowering bushes, trees. Lots of needed shade. The lovely swimming pool in the middle property was crystal clear with sun chairs all around. We were shown to our apartment and were very excited by how new, clean, and comfortable it was. The kitchen is VERY well stocked. Toaster, coffee maker, microwave, four burner gas stove, cutting boards, vegetable peeler, tupperware bowls, etc. We got to cook several meals during our stay. We used both the queen bed and fold out futon. Beds and linens were of good quality. Bathroom well appointed with good counter space for toiletries. Rain shower nozzle in shower. Plenty of water pressure. There is ample air conditioning and a powerful ceiling fan too. The screens on the windows are new and we never got one insect bite while sleeping! Thats a first down here in the tropics. Our outdoor deck was private and shaded. The hammock was great as well as the other seating on our porch. Theres even a table and chairs out there if you’d rather eat al fresco. Luciana has a restaurant/bar on the property. We could watch them prepare the food from our balcony in their outdoor kitchen. We had beautiful handmade tagliatelle one night. Really good! She has a nice collection of wines on offer as well, something I didn’t see anywhere else on the island. Proper glassware too! Her employees were very helpful and friendly. The bikes she has for each apartment were well maintained and felt safe. I had to have the tires filled a bit. We used them a lot! All in all we had a fabulous experience at OASI. We only saw a couple of other places on the island that looked remotely as quality. If I were to come back to Caye Caulker I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else! Thanks Luciana …
We extended our stay here because we loved it so much. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and colourfully designed. A great sized kitchen for cooking and an immaculate bathroom. The balcony hammock and chairs provided additional living space and a wonderful way to catch the breeze. The pool is a decent size for a few laps and there are plenty of chairs available under the palms. Luciana and her staff are all so welcoming and really helpful. Nothing is a bother and they all took time to chat and explain things if needed. There are also enough bikes for everyone so heading in and out of town is never an issue - it takes about 10 mins to cycle the entire length of the island so Oasi is ideal in that it's away from the nightlife noise but not at all isolated. we loved this place!!…
This property is aptly named. It is truly an Oasis. Luciana is a most gracious host, our every need was met. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. The apartments are well stocked and comfortable, clean and air conditioned. Bikes are provided with the rental for getting around the island. There is a restaurant on site with serves great food and drink. Live music a couple of times a week. I gave Oasi 5 stars because I couldn't give more.
Oasi is the number one b&b for a reason. It was exactly what I needed for my retreat from the world. I loved it so much that I stayed an unplanned extra night. I stayed in Apartment 1, which is an actual apartment: it has a nice bed, a lovely sitting area, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a porch with a hammock and super comfy couch. It’s away from the party center, which was exactly what I was going for. I wanted peace and quiet so that I could do some creative work, and that is what I got. Luciana is a wonderful host. She welcomed us to Caye Caulker and to her home that she has worked so hard on. She recommended a nearby pier to check out, which has now become my favorite location on Caye Caulker. I saw two sunrises there during my stay. I had dinner at the on-site restaurant two nights in a row and it was lovely. Real, authentic caipirinhas! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very romantic and relaxed, and on one of the nights there was sweet live music. Oasi is my home for every trip to Caye Caulker from this day forward. Really and truly.…
This is the best place to stay on Cay Caulker. Bikes, on sight place to eat, pool! It’s just a short bike ride from the center of the city. Bikes that are provided are great and we used them every day. Pool is amazing! Room is nice and big with Kitchenette and nice big shower. Drinking water available as well. Luciana, the owner, is very kind and welcoming to her guests. She wants to ensure you enjoy your stay. 5 star lady!! We enjoyed our stay here very much and I’d recommend staying here to anyone who comes to Caye Caulker.
