Came here as part of a tour group, but decided to upgrade the room to a private double with en-suite. They wouldn’t give us a discount even though we freed up two beds, but don’t know if this is because of the tour company or them, so I’m not gonna blame them for this particular thing this also gives me the opportunity to write a review based on a private booking. Paid about usd $130 for three nights, so quite expensive for what you get. This island is probably expensive, but I’d rather pay double at a nicer place than stay here again. First of all the property is horribly maintained. I’ve attached a few photos to give you an idea. The building we stayed in seemed to shake sometimes. Not sure why, but didn’t really feel safe. Second, it’s soooo loud there. People screaming and partying and everything. No one seems to be there at night to calm them down. Thirdly, we had to pay a usd $40 security deposit, but they never mentioned that reception is not open 24/7, which means that when we were supposed to leave at 7:20 in the morning, reception wasn’t open. So that was an exciting morning. Oh, and last, but not least, the hotel is right next to a cemetery. So that’s nice.. There are probably more things, but can’t think of any more atm. There are a lot nicer places to stay on this island, so this is the place to splurge if you ask me.

I am really Don’t recommend on this hotel . They have a bed service, they dont even try to help you all They now is first said no or this is the policy ! They don’t clean the room every day and don’t change towels. There is a very bad smell all over the hotel. I ask to speak with the manager many time but I always get the answer-“he is busy, he is in a meeting, he doesn’t here”.. for sure go to another hotel!!

My friend and I came on a trip to Belize. We stayed at this hotel in Caye Caulker. Shade (safe) was amazing and helpful. She had our room ready and assisted in booking a snorkeling tour. Captain Philip and Sam were awesome! The shared history and made our snorkeling tour amazing! Henry was helpful in getting us ready to snorkel.

The farther south you go, the quieter it gets (but also no beach to speak of) We booked at La Isla for 6 nights, stayed one and ended up at Tropical Paradise Hotel which is a little more dated, but far superior in location for various reasons. 1) we arrived easter long weekend and the split all the way to the ferry was absolute Cancun style madness. fun. but madness, sleep could only be assisted by participating. 2) having your own cabana is very nice and private for resting up or whatever else you need privacy for in a hotel room.... All of the action on Caye Caulker is maximum 1 or 2 km away so the privacy, view and quiet on this end of the island is nice after a lot of day drinking leads to an early night haha. 3) this hotel has it's own pier, so if you want some quiet reading/swimming/tanning etc time this end of the island is great. you can always walk to the split, sunset beaches, or the north island for action. 4) our favourite cafe and the sports bar were closer to this hotel.

We spent seven nights here. We had a lovely room with ocean view. My husband had an accident and the hotel staff went above and beyond to help in every way they could. Special thanks to Shadae of the office staff. Also want to thank Jane in Housekeeping and Eladio in management. We also loved eating in the restaurant on the property. Thanks to Tony, the 2 Henrys, Lucila. We were honored and privileged to be able to attend the opening of their new Restaurant, The View, further north on the island. The food and service was excellent and the view of the sunset superb. Thanks all for making our time in Caye Caulker so special.
