I think lodging options on Caye Caulker are limited, because this place is the top-rated hostel and I'm not sure it totally met expectations. It was clean and beds were comfy (although the rooms were teensy), but the plumbing didn't work very well during the three nights I was there. There is no hot water in the showers, which I...

As mentioned by other reviewers, Yuma's has rules posted everywhere (website, bathroom, common areas, etc...) however, they are not over overbearing and relatively easy to follow with common sense. The hostel itself was clean and super relaxing. No a/c but fans are provided and the rooms are cool at night. Yuma's sits between 2 ferry docks ( use Ocean Ferry...

Yuma's is a nice, clean quiet hostel located at the beach of Caye Caulker, in between the two ferry services and on the main road. They have a nice garden with good places to sit and hammocks. At first it might not seem the most welcoming place the way the rules are presented, but if you are looking for a...

Feels more like an authoritarian camp than a relaxing hostel in paradise. Great location and nice rooms though. The rules are plastered everywhere and super strictly enforced without even a thought of common sense. This gives the hostel a vibe of tension rather than relaxation (even though we were following the rules). The owners are the opposite of welcoming and...

Yuma's house is the first hostel you will see upon arriving in Caye Caulker via boat, so it gets plenty of attention. This does not detract from the stay however, as there are rules to follow when staying, and this keeps fellow tenants in line and makes everyone's stay enjoyable. Basic amenities include a full kitchen, wifi, and a safe...

Yuma's was the first of two hostels I stayed at on Caye Caulker, and by FAR the better of the two. By so, so far. It was my first stay, so I didn't realize how good I had it until I switched to the second one to save a few bucks... bucks I would have paid back in double in...

By far the best hostel I've stayed in Belize, if not ever! Great location and great staff. Suzanne and Albert are very informative on places to eat and things to do on Caye Caulker. The environment that the place and the staff creates allows you to meet plenty of other travelers. The rules may seem like a bit much when...

Stayed here for a week over Christmas. Its in a great location, super clean, good communal kitchen and amazing garden with hammocks and benches. The rooms are a little small but OK. Unfortunately it is spoilt somewhat by all the rules plastered everywhere which meant we felt a bit on edge the whole time and couldn't relax and enjoy ourselves.

I stayed here while traveling solo but met so many people who stayed at Yuma's too. The bed is much more comfortable than I expected from a bunk bed (maybe because I was exhausted everyday so I fell asleep right away). The garden is a great place to hang out, read or do nothing. It's also quiet at night no...

This hostel is awesome. It's very clean and organized with lots of hammocks and spots to hang out and chill. Suzanne is extremely helpful! She went above and beyond helping us out when our airline had lost our bags. She also is very knowledgeable of the area and makes some great recommendations!
