Husband and I absolute loved our vacation. The staff outdid themselves every day, accommodated our requests when we wanted dinner for breakfast on our last day. The cook, Henry was phenomenal, we discovered Marie Sharps hot sauce and stocked up at the airport!! Our bartender and waiters were amazing everyday (same 2 people, do not remember their names) but always had good service, great conversation and good recommendations!! Would love to visit once more.
Our stay at the Costa Blu was just fantastic. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Internet was good and speed was adequate for streaming. Overall we'd highly recommended the Costa Blu resort for your stay on Ambergris Caye.
The staff was awesome and friendly. Any requests possible were accommodated. The property was clean and comfortable in and out. The windows could seal better. The water pressure in the shower could have been much better.( Being our second time in Belize both shower experiences were the same at opposite ends of the island, so maybe that’s as good as it gets.) The food was very good. The service at the bar from Wayne and Alessandro was excellent! Sorry if I’m missing anyone. All of the staff was very good! It’s a bit further from town but we didn’t mind at all. We were close to secret beach. Beautiful stay overall.
This was a beautiful, spread out resort. Each housing unit is made up of 4 apartments which are sizable with a nice porch to relax on. There is a 3 split pool including a swim up bar, beach entrance and waterfall pool. Beautiful ocean front location inside the reef. The staff is beyond impressive. Wayne at the pool bar worked the 7 days we were there, ran all the food and drink orders for the resort and made great Pina Coladas! Every person there said Hi and smiled. Pablo was welcoming from the beginning when he met us along with Wayne with a rum punch, rum optional, and took us to our room, The room and pool as well as the greater Resort grounds were clean and fresh. The fish dinners were excellent. Improvements need to be in the entertainment, TV and stereo only, and the transportation area. They have no shuttle or solution to the $80 USD round trip to town and no water transportation to Mexico Rocks, directly in front of the resort, without going to town to get a boat, all while having a beautiful pier with a safe boat area and swim area. This, while there are no real supplies at the hotel much less any souvenirs to buy, aloe vera, ramen, chips, 1 can bug spray, a toothbrush, not much and not inviting. Overall, I loved it. We rented a cart and spent the day driving North which was great, all the way to Tranquility Bay and used it to get to Secret Beach both areas I would recommend. Another day sailing and enjoying the water sports with Under the Sea in San Pedro Town, highly recommended, The rest the time was spent enjoying the pool and friendly staff at the Resort. Thanks to all.…
This resort was a bummer. Crappy location, low quality food and dated rooms. They show misleading advertising. It's not nearly as nice in real life. Also, it's at the end of the earth on a rotten dirt road.
Beautiful! We stayed for ten days, including our 'elopement' wedding at the resort. Resort itself was quiet without being boring. Grounds are well spread out to give you privacy & space. Food was very good in quality/variety, & reasonably priced compared to surrounding resorts. Yes, you are 7 miles from San Pedro & that bumpy road can be tedious & uncomfortable. The pay-off is that it is quiet, relaaaaxing, there are pelicans & fish everywhere, and you can unwind. Suite was very comfortable with a fantastic veranda that was HUGE!. Bed very comfortable. Only suggestion would be to provide a full size coffee maker that you could brew coffee, rather than the mini one that takes disc type pods. Besides the beautiful views & grounds, the best part was the people! Everyone at the resort was very open & friendly, and made us feel right at home. From Lis (F&B Manager) to the groundskeepers & maids - everyone made us feel welcome & were a joy to talk to. Special thanks to Lis (who went above & beyond), Wayne, Ryon, and Daniel (the GM) Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Costa Blu & can't wait to come back!…
We stayed a week. Fabulous food and service. Very accommodating when we asked for something. The rooms could use some work. One of the air conditioning units smelled when we ran it, easy fix, we just stopped using it. The sliding door in the sitting area did not shut completely, there was a gap which let bugs in and we woke up with bites one morning. Solved by putting something in front of it. The food was great. The beach was okay. Snorkeling not really an option unless you swam a ways out, but constant boats coming through would makes that option unsafe. The resort taxi to town and back (and the airport and back) seems pricey at $80 round trip for 2 of us each time, but we chose not to run a golf cart, which is a cheaper option. Overall, it was just what we needed - some quiet away time in a relaxing environment!…
This resort is located slightly north to the city, in a quite beautiful area. You would have there everything you need away from the town’s madness. If you do want to get into town, the hotel staff would help in booking you transportation.
My wife and I stayed at the Costa Blu in November for 8 nights. We had a wonderful time. The management and staff were awesome! We would like to specifically thank Stuart Peters for taking such good are of us during our stay. Quiet and peaceful grounds with easy access to water taxis or golf cart rental for all activities....we would definitely return!
We booked a 12 night stay because they advertise that they have a dive shop on property. That was a lie. There is no dive shop. The “beach” is a cement area that fronts the polluted water. The food was snack bar quality at best. The manager was not usually on site and requested us to return to the property instead of taking our call. Another interruption of our day. He promised a refund for the portion of the stay that we would be moving to another property. Two months later no refund. We are disappointed in Wyndham, Delta Vacations and this property. We cut our vacation short, moved properties and now are in a hassle of customer service calls trying to get our money back.
