Upon booking the staff reached out to us to assist us with our stay. We really appreciated this service with our busy work schedules. They scheduled our flights from Belize City to San Pedro, provided transportation from San Pedro airport to Belizean Shores (small fee), and our COIVD test for returning to the US. We booked a golf cart for the week which was ready at the resort when we arrived. The staff are very friendly and are available via WhatsApp which was awesome if we needed anything. Tuff e Nuff tour/activity center is located on the dock - very convenient for booking adventures and most depart right there. There is no restaurant on property but room service which was very good, inexpensive and delivered timely is available along with restaurants at a sister property 2 doors down the beach. There are a couple of places to get food across from the resort, all good food and outdoor eating. The pool offers options with lounges, umbrellas, tables and chairs, cushion loungers in the water and a swim up bar. Delicious drinks! This was my third time staying at the Belizean Shores and we are planning to return summer 2022. Great service, condos are spacious, clean and have kitchens, on-site security. The property is well maintained. This is a family friendly resort

The staff are friendly. The place is beautiful. The pool is small, not for swimming, but for relaxing. The best part is there is a kitchen in the room so you can cook. Some people complained about the Wi-Fi issue, we never encountered any problems. Close to the Urgent care. The resort next door offers Covid Test.

This resort is nice. It’s not a top luxury place. You get a one bedroom place and the kids sleep,on a pullout bed. 4 of us shared one bathroom which was not ideal. It is very very sandy so you need to sweep a lot but there is a broom in the closet. AIR Also, I believe the hotel recommends Maya Island Air. Sadly for us, I took the suggestion of booking with them, and our flight was delayed one hour for no good reason other than the airline refused to fly only my family since the flight was not fuller. This meant we waited almost 3 hours after arriving at the airport for the connecting flight. The reason I mention this is we later found out Maya Air is notorious for not being on time and with such a bad reputation I wonder why the hotel recommends them and not Tropic Air. Anyhow, we finally got there if not a bit late, but it was not a good way to start the trip. FOOD The next thing you should know is you will owe another $$$ of money when you check out bc no food is included and there is not really any food nearby so most guests are invariably ordering in. All the food is prepared at the sister property 2 doors down called Coco Beach resort. It is decent, but the prices charged at all restaurants in San Pedro is a crime. Be prepared for a big bill at the end of your stay. TRANSPORT Also, I would suggest renting a golf cart from outside the property for the week. We were able to rent the golf carts pretty easily from the resort when we needed them except for one evening when we had fancy dinner reservations. We ended up having to cancel the reservation bc all golf carts were gone. Resort charges around $250 for 5 days but you can get a better one that will run better for the long drive to Secret Beach for probably $200 for the week. And it will be yours. NICE The hotel staff is wonderful and helpful. Brian who works at the pool bar is friendly, a bit shy and very responsible. Also, bc of our lateness the first night, the hotel manager very kindly waived our transportation fee to and from the airport. Service is great and they do wonderful cleaning of your room whenever you request it. They also provide you coffee for your coffee maker and it lasted us all week. There are also many folks who own these units and rent them out. There is a feeling of family here between tenant owners and staff that feels like family visiting. Workers and tenants know each other and have a friendly relationship you won’t see in most hotel resorts. If you want to have a small kitchen, these units are perfect. If you want more luxury, I would choose coco beach resort, their sister property. One more tip. They are building a Wyndham Grand Hotel right next door and our windows looked out onto an ugly construction site with workers. Not what I wanted for a beach vacation. Thanks to all staff at Belizean Shores! Merry Christmas!

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We were sorry to read that your vacation expectations were not met. Our upper-level suites have a main bedroom plus a loft for extra sleeping space. This works well for families with younger children but you may have been more comfortable with two suites. Sand is a reality on the beach and we do all we can to mitigate it, including a rinsing station for sandy feet, rugs, brooms, and housekeeping. We do not offer all-inclusive rates and nowhere do we advertise as such. For the convenience of our guests, we do offer signing priveledges for Cocoblanca Restaurant that are charged to your room to be paid at checkout. We're sorry that you experienced flight delays, unfortunately, this is out of our control and as you mentioned we did all we could to restart your vacation on the right foot. That said, we are happy to know that you enjoyed the ambiance of the resort and felt at home, which is always our goal. We are committed to bringing the best that is available to our guests. Thanks again for taking the time to detail your experience.

We have been to Ambergris Caye at least 20 times and just returned from yet another fabulous trip. The last stays 17 we chose t Belizean Shores. The rooms are functional, not fancy, but that's what we love about this place. It's small and intimate and the staff is always excellent. The view from the seafront unit is phenomenal. The pool is the best on the island. There are no restaurants on site, but there are several good choices nearby so don't let that deter you. We will had back to AC just as soon as possible and again, we will choose Belizean Shores.

We came down to Belize for our destination wedding. We absolutely loved staying at this resort. It was perfect for our group of 24 people as it wasn't too big and still was able to accommodate everyone's activity preferences. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Since we were there for a week, the kitchenette was helpful. While the resort was too small to have a proper restaurant on-site, they do have a sister resort (Coco Beach $$$) a short walk away that can provide food/bar. Also a food court-type situation across the road on the lagoon side. The food there was excellent! We liked the location set away from the busy town center as it gave us time with our friends and family and peace and quiet. Every staff member was hospitable and friendly. I can't really say how happy we were to discover this little gem. If you are looking for a quiet resort with great food around you, access to all types of activities, great price, and something more than a standard hotel room then Belizean Shores is it! We will go back!
