Secluded, relaxing, great service, private big luxurious huts! Service at the restaurant is first rate. You will need to rent a golf cart to get into the city. Also arrange for the short flight to the island. This is the second farthest north of the island hotel so it is secluded. It's a good 20 boat ride to another hotel....

My husband and I wanted a place to get away from it all, and boy, did we find it! Granted, a place like this may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we enjoyed it immensely! First off, you land in Belize City, then take a commuter plane to San Pedro. From there, it's a 25 minute boat ride to...

When we arrived in San Pedro, we were met at the airport by El Secreto staff, who took us to the dock in a golf cart, then to the hotel via boat. We were initially impressed by the level of service, and our eyes feasted upon the beautiful property and blue waters of El Secreto. Before I get any further,...

We've booked this place last minute and stayed only few nights at the end of our tour through Central America. It was bliss. Peace and quiet, far away from everyone and everything, which is what we wanted. There's a pool with a bar, restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Spa, water/beach activities, you can book a trip through the hotel...

I have traveled the world and I too work in hotels and I could not believe the service, food, price for massages, etc. We had booked a week here and left after night two. They refused to give us our money back. So we left with the managers promise to comp us free nights to try them again to make...

Please read the review in its entirety to understand the rating. -Why I would have given the resort 5 stars- First of all, El Secreto is beautiful. It may be the most beautiful resort on San Pedro. It is small and intimate, with only 13 private villas. Each Villa is about the size of a decent sized Belizean home, with...

El Secreto is a beautiful resort. From the time we arrived via Maya Air in San Pedro and departed via Tropic Air (I'll write another review on the transportation aspect), Captain Lou (I think that's his name - we call him Captain Barefoot because we never saw him wearing shoes) welcomed us at the airstrip. He quickly ushered us to...

We had such a lovely time at El Secreto. While I have read and do understand so other peoples complaints, the friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, and peaceful vibe far outweighed downfalls such as the jacuzzi not being hot enough. And we loved the food - breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing. Agree it's good to get out and explore other...
