Simple place to stay. Not A Ritz or Hyatt but gets the job done. If your looking for these type of comforts this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a quent, quite and friendly place to stay this will work. Friendly staff at El Divino and Monkey Business make you feel right at home. Far enough from downtown (2.5 miles) congestion but still close enough to enjoy dining and shopping it offers by walking or golf cart. It is what it is. There are better and worse place.

Banana beach resort is a great place to unwind. The staff is absolutely fantastic. The staff at El Divino were especially great every morning we would get our spanish lesson from a very bubbly server named Sergio. All the staff went out of their way to make you feel very comfortable and welcome. The food at El Divino was great as well, their menu offers a variety food to fit anybodies needs. The cleaning staff also stayed on top of everything quite nicely. The staff at monkey business are very helpful and friendly as well. They can set you up with anything from an amazing day of fishing to scuba diving. I would suggest if anyone is going out to the area to try some scuba diving seeing as the second largest reef is right out their back door. The location of Banana Beach

We called the day before our arrival to San Pedro and the staff was awesome with last minute accommodations of 6 people. They were friendly, helpful and immediately made us feel welcome!! They offer restaurant dining that is out of this world. The complimentary breakfast was very good and we were greeted and taken care of in not just a professional manner, but in a friendly manner which meant a lot to us. Be sure to ask for Mac for your waiter. Banana Beach also offers a store with friendly service and as I was in there on the internet, many guests came in and the staff was so helpful, friendly and warm to everyone. The rooms were very clean, nice and comfortable. Tastefully done with the island feel!! We do a lot of business world wide and throughout the Caribbean

Well, I cannot complain about the price. We paid $100 per night. Rooms were consistent with the price. But there was an awful smell. We complained about it, so they mopped the floors one day, leaving the room smelling fresh, until the floors dried, then the smell came back. We could not identify the location/source from which the smell was coming from, but let's just say it smelled of feces. Beds left our backs hurting after a few days. (We have a temperpedic at home, so perhaps we are spoiled). Location was OK, but will stay on the north part of town next visit. Restaurant was hit or miss. One meal would be great, the next awful. We ate there several times as it unfortunately rained our entire visit, and it was cold as well. Salad one evening tasted as if it were

BBR could not have been more accomodating for our group of 10 "girls" ranging from 55-67 celebrating a 60th BD. We were given a 2nd floor suite with 5 adjoining bedrooms & private baths. Twin beds were moved in to accomodate those that did not wish to share the more than ample king. We had a shared kitchen, living room, and a balcony overlooking the sea and barrier reef. Clean with excellent daily maid service, Caroline our maid, was conscientious about not getting in anyones way. 10 girls never without clean towels is an amazing feat! Two pools, internet, and an excellent restaurant (El Divino) are on site. Staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. And while many parts of Ambergis have little beach area, we had a very nice area with more than a sufficent number
