Beautiful Oceanfront condominium complex with various sized units that can accomodate up to twelve persons. The Caribe Island condo resort is a small, full-service resort that is located on the Island of Ambergris Caye, just outside the town of San Pedro in Belize, Central America.
Known as the Pepto Bismal house by the locals, a few of the tourists have renamed it the Pink Barbie Beach Condo. What a great place to stay at a very affordable price! Great views, nice pool, clean beaches. Room was comfortable. AC worked great! One caution - Drive slowly once you hit the dirt roads…the potholes might get you.

Worked remotely here in April 2023 and LOVED it. Ana, the property manager, was responsive, helpful and lovely. Beautiful unit, view and beach. Located just the right amount of distance from town center (about 2.5 miles, golf cart needed). Would stay here again.

I stayed at Caribe Island #20 for a week and really enjoyed it. The condo was beautiful and well kept. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals. Note that there was not an oven but it was not a big deal to me. #20 was on the ground floor directly facing the pool and the ocean. The courtyard and the pool were very very beautiful. And the ocean view was of course very nice. It was just a few steps to the ocean. The virtual tour on the management company Vacasa shows exactly how wonderful it looked! I needed to remote work. The wifi was very stable and my Verizon phone had receptions as well. When I needed any assistance about the condo, Ana and her team were always ready to help. There was a corner store very close to the complex and a few restaurants nearby. It was just far enough away from all the noise and traffic of the town center, but close enough if you would like to visit on a golf cart with just a 20-minute ride. I have stayed at three different places in San Pedro the year, and I love this complex the most. I highly recommend!…

Upon arrival I found the area very well kept and peaceful. The condo was Beautiful! Far beyond my expectations. Huge kitchen with all dishes and appliances you would need to prepare food. Be sure to pick up some coffee and spices as they are no longer provided. The bed was very comfortable, pillows nice, AC was definitely cold! Shower water was hot and pressure good. I had a very relaxing vacation here and would definitely return. Also, a shoutout to local restaurant SOMEPLACE SOUTH (walking distance) and MK RENTALS that supplied the golf cart. I would absolutely recommend getting a golf cart over bikes or taxis. The island has much to explore! Thank you again, Sylvia!

Caribe Island Unit #19 Our stay was May 30 – June 8, 2021. Access to the Caribe Island condos is, in part, a bumpy dirt road. We went shopping for provisions for the condo, for our week+ stay the first day after arrival. Drove the golf cart into San Pedro to the Super Buy grocery store, the biggest on the island. The next morning were we going to have eggs for breakfast. When we cracked the eggs into the frying pan, to our surprise, they were all already scrambled. Same story each morning we had eggs, for the whole dozen. I know they don't come out of the chicken that way. All in all it was a pleasant stay. Here are a few things that could be improved on. Be aware the the unit is on the third floor. You get a workout daily going and coming. The lighting in the kitchen was bad. Don't cook at night, it is dangerous if you are older as we are. During the day sunlight come through the window, everything is okay. All the lights are minimum wattage. Except the lights on the veranda which were nice and bright. The TV controller is hard to understand. Not user friendly. No user instruction provided. The Vacasa host said she would come by to show us how to use it. Two nights we struggled with it. Her husband finally walked us through it. The cable service provided over a hundred channels. Great selection. There were channel lineups provided, one from 2019, the other listing was incomplete. Why couldn't the operating instructions for the controller be provided in the book on the coffee table and why couldn't a printout of the current channels be provided also. The dish drainer was so broken up it could hold only a few dishes. Why it wasn't replaced before we got there was a question. When I called about it we had a replacement in and hour. Could have used a couple ceramic or glass bowls to microwave food in. You have just the microwave and stove top for cooking. Would have been nice to have matching lids for pot and pans in the kitchen. We improvised with aluminum foil. There was no swim beach at the Caribe Island condos, just a sea wall along the front of the property. There was a beach on the adjacent property but it was unusable because of the sargasso grass. Guess the whole Caribbean is having a problem with this invasive aquatic life for the last several years. The view from the veranda was wonderful. Sitting there looking out to the reef a quarter mile away, sipping a glass of wine, with a slight breeze blowing the palm fronds, is so relaxing.…

We chose this resort due to a special during covid and I’m glad we did. It’s on the south end of San Pedro/Ambergris but still easy to access. But rent a golf cart! It will be your transportation for the entire island. We loved the room - nicely decorated. Everything especially the air conditioning worked well. I loved three fact that they provided a water cooler for fresh water so we didn’t have to bring in bottles. And our unit, #13, was beach level and looked out over the pier. The pool (actually everything) was kept very clean and the dock was nice to walk out on especially at night. I didn’t like the bright lights along the pier - couldn’t see stars very well but they provide good security. And a special shout out to Ana our concierge. She was a rock star!! 🌟 she set up our taxi to and fro as well as our excursions and golf cart. I’ve never had it so easy!! If we come back we’ll definitely stay here again! …

The place, the location and the view are amazing. But there is an old grumpy couple that live here named Rhonda And Dee that have made our stay MISERABLE. Very aggressive. FOUL language directed towards us. Was told to shut up. Paradise is lost on them. We are still here and feel less than welcome and the need to stay in our room. This is our 4th time San Pedro and have NEVER felt this way before. Stay next door at Sunset Beach Condos. Way more welcoming

We love staying at Caribe Island. You do need a golf cart to get to town but it is quiet away from the hubbub of town. There is little grocery store one block away and there are a few restaurants close enough to walk. The two different condos we have stayed in had everything we needed. They were not fancy but definitely clean and well stocked. We will be back!!
