Rented a Beachfront Oceanview Cabana.Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs.Bartenders are Great. Swim up Bar and the Grounds our beautiful. Didnt have cable for 2 days but there was a letter stating they were upgrading to a new system in all units. Sure enough we came back and the cable had been replaced in all the cabana units.I have to say with everything going on in the world not having cable for 2 days was really nice. Great Casino on property played on $20.00 for 40 min on Roulette. Free drinks while playing really only lost $5 with free beer. Secrets beach is 3.5 miles one way and san pedro 3.5 miles the other direction so centrally located. I would come back for sure.We’re grateful you took some of your time to leave us a lovely review! We also think that Captain’s offers everything you could possibly need while on a Caribbean holiday – white-sand beach, beautiful grounds, caring staff, and even the only casino on the island! - CNJ4 contributionssome good, some just okayStayed here for holidays 2019. Had read the mixed reviews so kept expectations low. The property had a good location, and great views to the beach. The restaurant was not very good and very expensive. The room was fine, but details like trim, sheets that fit the bed, a safe that was not duct-taped, mirrors that were the right height, and such were lacking. The house-keeping was great, the massage was great. The pools were okay, but the best pool we were told is being annexed by the adjoining property. Like I said, it was okay, but not more than 3 stars.Thank you for writing a TripAdvisor review. We appreciate feedback like this as it ensures we are working to improve our guest experience. Many positive updates are currently being made to Captain Morgan’s and we are always striving to keep our rooms up-to-date and well-maintained. We were picked up from the airport in a golf cart which immediately set the mood for a relaxing tropical stay. The views were beautiful and our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Although the grounds needed a little bit of updating, the overall feel of the resort was nice and the staff were very friendly. The spa offered massages on the beach which was fabulous! There was a restaurant on the premises and the location of the resort was just perfect as it was located outside of San Pedro so it was quiet but close to many other restaurants.Thank you very much for coming to Captain Morgan's. The resort was perfect for our honeymoon. The staff was incredibly friendly, the restaurant had great food and the spa was so amazing I went twice in one week! Prior to arriving, Victor (resort staff/lead) confirmed our stay via WhatsApp and inquired if we needed transportation accommodations. He got us set up right away with a golf cart, which made our trip that was easier. We set up excursions with Roger and left right from the resort. We enjoyed a half day of snorkeling and a private fishing and lobster diving trip, with our fresh catch cooked right on the beach. The resort was recommended to us by family friends and now we highly recommend to others.

Overall, nice retreat! Clean, fun and the 3 bedroom condo was great! The little grocery store was ok. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Only complaint was the dog kept scratching and barking at our upstairs door at night. Other than that a nice place to stay 😊

We have been visiting San Pedro for over 20 years and have stayed at several resorts. We have accessed Captain Morgan’s restaurant, spa and bar several times and considered purchasing there. We were very disappointed in the condition of the resort during our recent stay and will not stay there again. It is looking old and run down and the new construction doesn’t match the charm of the older style. It is clear that ownership has changed and not for the better. We did enjoy our spa experience and Ronald at the restaurant was great, although food service was very slow at times. We had to move from our 1st room due to getting sick from the black mold in the AC unit.

I so much wanted to give this a 5 star rating: the beach, pool, restaurant all could have been exceptional. We had a very nice time, two couples enjoying a week of scuba, drinking, and eating. All these issues are so easy to correct: 1) Our request for water in our room was denied; we had to haul 5 gallon water jugs about 100 yards to our room. 2) The waterfront was consumed by sargassum seaweed. Other resorts hired workers to remove the seaweed by truck for landfill. 3) Although the room was designed to accommodate six, there were only three forks and no saucepans; the restaurant accommodated us by loaning us a saucepan. We had to loan our toaster to a neighbor whose unit lacked a toaster. An overly strict sounding note in our kitchen warned us not to steal the kitchen items as a fine of 75$ would be levied. 4) The pool bars were (permanently?) closed so we brought our own drinks. A giant casino in the center of the property was also (permanently?) closed. Abandoned construction of a new building on-site. I suspect this resort used to be amazing and has been allowed to deteriorate by new management. It certainly is not a 4 star resort.…

I cannot say enough good things about Captain Morgan Resort. The room was so beautiful and spacious. It had a little sitting area in the front facing the water where we had our morning coffee which was so peaceful. It is far enough away from everything to give you a really peaceful vibe, but close enough that you can easily get to where you want by golf cart (which the staff arranged for us). The staff was amazing. Our trip overall was great, but without the staff here it would not have been the same experience. Everyone was so kind and made us feel extremely welcome. The food was really good and the restaurant staff was so friendly. Phil and Jairo were absolutely incredible. I cannot say enough good things about them. They were both so helpful In figuring out arrangements for everything we needed and wanted to do. Without them, we really would not have had the incredible experience that we did.…

The staff was very nice and helpful. Our unit was good but a bit outdated. There is some construction going on.The casino on site is not operating.The food was good but we did get fooled on one night for the BBQ we were told if we wanted to try two entrees we could for the same price as one( $35) but with smaller portions. When the bill came we were charged $70 for the ones who chose two.All four of us had questioned the waiter and he assured us the price would be the same. Needless to say we were not happy and only went there for one more meal.Found the Capricorn restaurant and were very happy there. The biggest disappointment is the beach area. They are inundated by sargassum seaweed which covers the beach area and smells HORRIBLE.We did go on a snorkeling trip from the tours there which was beautifull but the nearest place to swim in the ocean was Secret Beach which was a long ride over bumpy roads in our rented golf cart. the roads are HORRIBLE.I know the seaweed is affecting the entire sea but if we had known we would not have gone there.…

I loved our cabana location. Right on the beach. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and it was nice enough. The main reason I give it a four out of five is the current construction going on. The cabana was comfortable, spacious, clean. Coffee each morning w/a view of the Caribbean. The staff was great. Roger helped with event bookings and really worked hard to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Close local food but a 25 min golf cart ride to town.

Ordered the special burger and when we got the bill it was twice as expensive as their regular burger. 42 verses 22 belize. Was told it was because it was a blue burger. "Blue cheese". Will ask the price of specials from now on.

The resort was clean but outdated. Very spacious which is a plus with couples! The beds and pillows are old it seemed..not super comfortable. Asked for more blankets twice..They did arrive finally. The pools are ok but not very high end as we are used to. The beach is not really a sit out and enjoy kind of beach. The mosquitos are insane on the island. Bring bug spray and lots of it!
